HE'S UNDER YOUR BED

SLEEP WELL TONIGHT, MOTHA TRUCKA

The truth is...

He had to leave because he was being sued by Ford for appearing in a movie where everything else is clearly a GM-owned property, and he couldn't miss his trial

Except that the particluar Mustang in the movie wasn't a Ford product but a Saleen.

My money's on his ass living. Just his ass though....he now turns into a Powerwheels Barbie car.

Ah, so that's why they could get away with not giving credit to Ford?

And hey, who knows...a PINK Barricade might frighten AND confuse everyone.

Not exactly. Ford did give the rights to use the car since it is technically thiers but they mentioned that they didn't want kids relating ford to the bad guys so they opted the route of not having thier company name mentioned with thier product. PR move basically.

The way these deals are written, and GM had "exclusive" rights, Ford wouldn't have even been given the opportunity to officially license the Mustang. (Saleen's deal with Ford obvioulsy allows them rights to independenly market "Saleen products" that are based on Ford cars as long as the "Ford" logos are removed.) This "bad guy" thing I've seen floating around the interwebs is something someone who doesn't know about licensing or marketing made up (my guess is it came from a Ford fan apologist).

Hi

im new on this board.

My question. Barricade has the number 643, and why ? by Michael Bay birthday?

Bay's birthday is February 17th, hence "ladiesman217."

Didn't the writers say something about the DVD having info on him as an easter egg or something in regards to where he was and his potential role in the sequel? If so, I must have missed it.

so the answer is "nobody knows"?

so the answer is "nobody knows"?

Nobody knows because the information isn't provided in the movie. It's a plot hole, plain and simple. How big that plot hole is depends upon how caught up you are in the main narrative. (i.e. how much you care)

Personally, I think it would have been better to leave Barricade all fuxx0red at that power station place after Bumblebee's fight with him. Even if they had included a final fight scene between him and Prime in the third act, it would have been redundant since there was already the Bonecrusher/Prime fight taking place at the same time.

energon oilchange.
