he went to pick up the pieces of Bonecrusher That prime stacked up on the side of the road

If I was Barricade I would've discretely changed my alt mode and left sometime between Bonecrusher getting his freaking head cut off and Devastator losing an arm. Seriously, he got pwned by Bumblebee, what has he supposed to do in a battle that killed off Decepticons 4 times his size?

He fell into a plot hole. Landed in a somewhere in a Uwe Bole movie never to be seen again.

Harsh :07laugh

Personally, I think it would have been better to leave Barricade all fuxx0red at that power station place after Bumblebee's fight with him. Even if they had included a final fight scene between him and Prime in the third act, it would have been redundant since there was already the Bonecrusher/Prime fight taking place at the same time.

I agree, really all they had to do was delete the scene of him answering Frenzy's call and then digitially erase him from the from the first part of the highway scene (as well as edit Shia's line identfying him) and "poof" no more plot hole.

As it is, I half wonder if they almost decided that he should have been taken out by Bumblebee, but since they had already shot the footage of him in the freeway scene were forced to keep him around a bit longer...

Read SW Ep II novel. There's stuff in there that never even made it onto film, like this whole thing involving a recurring dream that Anakin keeps having. I don't remember if it's about his mother or if it was a Force induced dream involving a glimpse into the future or something.

DUDE! Thats IN the movie too bro!

Anyways i bet his mission was to go pick up Frenzy, since their a team & all & he was at Hoover Dam the OPPOSITE dirrection. Then Starscream uses him to recon with Frenzy back & forth from Cybertron to Earth.

Beat that!

And GOD does anybody take this stuff a little more seriously? I dont mean to be totally serious, but making fun of the franchise is un called for.

He left to be in a good movie.

like this. I know your respected around here a bit, but i just dont get why someone puts down their own franchise. Happens all the time. anyways

And i dont remember seeing the answer on the "special" dvd that came out. Do any of YOU TFans have an "official" answer??

Well, as close as I can get to an "official" answer is that he was supposed to have been dispatched by Prime after Bonecrusher bites it.

It's in the script draft used for the novel and comic adaptions. Plus, my buddy that worked on the video game told me he got to see animated storyboards that showed Barricade confronting Prime after the Bonecrusher fight with all kinds of hand-to-hand fighting moves, at which point Prime just pulls out his rifle and blows him away Indiana Jones style.

However, I don't know (nor have I seen any "official" reason) why Barricade's death wasn't in the film. Personally, I lean more towards a not doing the CGI for this scene due to budget/time issues (and hoping that no one notices) - not that there was a decision made to preserve Barricade for use in TF2 (as it seems like if this were the case they could have very easily added a scene of him driving away in the credits sequences).

Don't make too many assumptions there...

  • 2 weeks later...

Stuck in traffic? I mean, last we saw him was on the freeway... thats also why I joke around saying why Prime was late.

  • 1 month later...

wel my thoughts are that he attackted prime (after he choped bonecrushers head off) in the city and lost thats why he came from an alleyway not the streets .......or he jumped in a lake(well most probably an ocean) :07laugh
