Does anyone know what happened to Barricade in the movie?

My theory; Hiding.

He got his ass wupped by BB earlier on and seeing Prime et al sporting big guns and no intent to hide anymore I reckon he figured Hiding was the better idea.

 

I see him more as the covert ops kinda guy.

If he;s anything like the real police, they don't show up when needed.

 

I'd guess he was harassing a d00d for window tint or some other obscure offence in the books.

If you look, he changes lanes in the highway chase. He accidentally got off on the wrong exit and is now in Las Vegas wondering where the heck all the action is. Damn internal GPS systems never work I tell you. On the plus side, he's making a load of dough at the slots.

 

Seriously, one of the writers said that question would be answered on the DVD release on the special in regards to the sequel.

1/ He parked in the wrong part of town and had his wheels removed and found it impossible to transform due to him resting on bricks?

 

2/ He got mutilated by the savage people at "pimp my ride". Hes now neon yellow and had his transformation cog replaced with a fishbowl, two subwoofers and a beer fridge. His CPU is now powering an in-car PS3 entertainment system.

 

3/ He got clamped.

 

4/ He started surfing ebay and is now so hooked he cant leave earth until he tracks down a toy version of himself that is actually any good.

 

5/ He found love via myspace (it worked for soundwave).

I finally got to see the movie a 2nd time, and I was looking out for this very thing. I must say, I think I saw one of his doors in the final battle for an instant, as Ironhide was clearing the way for Sam, just before the now-infamous loose silver 5-spoke wheel and axle appears on-screen. Frankly the scene went by so fast I could be wrong. Can't wait to find out tho!

Well, according the official adaptation comic, Prime offed him right after Bonecrusher. It's what took OP so long to get to the fight.

He's not killed by Ironhide, that was not a Saleen Mustang that was destroyed in the Blackout firing on Ironhide scene. He simply is not shown. The writers said it was something to be addressed later 'robots in disguise', whatever that means.

Barricade was busy buying stuff on ebay.

If you wait for the DVD and the officials keep their word, you'll know. They promised answers and said something vague about Barricade and the sequel. My money is on him being alive.
