I was browsing Wikipedia, and came across this little info on the section of Movie Jazz on their Jazz page.

Well, again. Considering it's Wikipedia, I suggest taking it with a grain of salt, but it might hint at things to come.

In a recent interview, the movie staff tell of a rumor that Jazz will be rebuilt in the possible sequel with a tougher frame. He maintains the movie look, but with a different color scheme and slight modifications. It is suspected that his resurrection is possible with the fragment of the Allspark found in Megatron's chest once he is killed.

This sounds like a mix of the G1-deco Target exclusive bio and what the movie writers have planned for the Allspark fragment. Which in a way makes sense since that fragment still probably has some power.

Thoughts: Cool if it happens, since Jazz deserves to see some character development since I think he was really cool. If it doesn't, it's not the worst thing in the world and will be perfectly content to keep him alive in my mind with my movie figures.

although i would like to see it i think that once their sparks have extinguished they should be dead.

cool if they brought him back and he went insane

I hate it when I'm wrong. Ah well, Jazz does deserve more screentime.

The Allspark is all powerful my bother! Amen!!

this would be cool, who's to say the all spark does'nt rebuild itself!

i think there is little doubt that megatron will be back for the next movie, so if he can come back why not Jazz

this would be cool, who's to say the all spark does'nt rebuild itself!

That would be a great concept for the next movie - the allspark regenerates itself, as discovered when new arrival Wheeljack uses the fragment to bring Jazz back to life. The Decepticons cotton on to this and attempt to steal it, nominally to resurrect Megatron (Blackout and Soundwave's idea), but more likely because Starscream wants the power to overthrow new leader Shockwave.

The Autobots realise that the cube has become corrupted beyond saving when their reinforcements the Dinobots come out of Ratchet and Wheeljack's Tranformers-O-Matic as slavering idiots (so no real change, then...) and set off on an epic quest through the galaxy to repair/destroy the cube (destroying it is problematic as it regenerates, hence 'epic quest') and find some more characters along the way, namely Wreck-gar (still with facial hair - voiced by either Eric Idle or Bill Nighy) and the Junkions (voiced by as many ragged rock stars as they can lay their hands on...).

Attempting to destroy it by casting it into a gravity well/black hole/supernova/whatever creates a rift in space and time that releases Unicron, the Chaos Bringer and Devourer of Worlds from the prison Primus placed him in aeons ago: cue movie number three.

Besides idle speculation, they should definitely bring Jazz back.

the script hasn't even been written yet.

not to burst anyone's bubbles :tflaugh

yes, and where is said interview? i'd think that if this actually existed that we'd have heard about it by now, remember any douche can edit a wiki article

I know. I said to take this info with a grain of salt. I just thought I'd share the info. For all we know, it could be true, or it could be some moron's wishful thinking.

Soundblaster010. A big no to slavering idiotic Dinobots. If the Dinobots are to be in the sequel, then they have to be more like their comic versions and smart and kick-ass fighters that loathe Prime and Grimlock is the only one with stunted speech (due to some weird quirk in his speech programming). And no Unicron. We don't need them to do Unicron in the way they did Galactus in F4: Rise of the Silver Surfer.

I'm just thinking that the Allspark shard will play some important role in the sequel and will somehow involve Megatron and/or Jazz being revived.

And Captain Modesty, we don't see Jazz's spark extinguished. All we see are sparks as he's ripped in half.
