I think Megatron is destined to return as Galvatron.. like having the all spark shoved into his chest didn't actually kill him and stuff, and basically revives himself after so long... stronger/better .. this time with the ability to create an entire legion from scraps.

 

Blackout should be revived as soundwave.

Starscream plots his new reign as leader of the Decepticons with a few new arrivals (Constructicons, who don't function well as a group), when Shockwave and Soundwave show up, Soundwave acting as a silent bodyguard while Shockwave whittles the title of Leader from Starscream. Shockwave claims that their mission will be to avenge Megatron, but he has ulterior motives. He seeks Prime's spark, which apparently had the power to withstand the energy overload of the Allspark.

 

Shockwave whips the Constructicons into an elite fighting force, telling them "their working together will pay off in more ways than they know." Starscream broods unhappily to Soundwave about Shockwave, but Soundwave's blind devotion to Megatron makes him ignore the fact that Shockwave's after something else.

 

Sam has unexpectedly broken up with Mikaela after a foolish argument, and the Constructicons land on earth, immediately seeking out Prime. Bumblebee takes Sam to go help Prime, who has been isolated by the Constructicons. Mikaela is picked up by Arcee unexpectedly, who is then flanked by the Dinobots.

 

THE DINOBOTS ARE TRIPLECHANGERS. They go from Heavy duty military vehicles or cars into robotic Dinosaurs, and then Robots.

 

Constructicons briefly battle the Dinobots, who are able to dominate via smoothly changing from robot to dino, saving Prime. However, Grimlock fiercely attacks Prime's nature as a leader.

 

Uh... wait... this is just speculation, right? Oops.

 

Basically, Prime will find out Shockwave knew his Spark had an unseen quality that allowed it to take the energy of the Allspark... and he'll realize that Megatron had it as well...

Like I said in another thread, I hope the Autobots lose in the sequel, so Bay has to have a Decepticon combiner for part 2 and give the Autobots their own combiner in part 3 to make it even.

 

Plus I think, most of the current bots are gonna have new forms. I'd expect the movie to come out in 2009, so I doubt the movie would want to advertise a 2008 Camaro in a 2009 movie.

Actually Optics, the Camaro used for Bumblebee is a 2009 Concept model. It is supposed to be released in the 2009 model year, not 2008. Therefore, it is likely that the existing characters will not be given new Alternate modes, but any new characters will have newer alt mode body styles.

Well after seeing the movie there is definately going to be a sequel. New Autobots coming down from space, Starscream gets away to regroup and gather more bots for his army to defeat Prime and the rest of the existing Autobots. I didn't see Barricade die and I know Scorponox is lurking around out there! I would like to see Starscream come back with some of his Jet buddies, like Thundercracker, Thrust, and Ramjet. And with a few more on the ground the plot is simple. Defeat the Autobots at all cost. Since the movie was nothing like the cartoon don't expect them to follow the same story lines as in the G1 series. There are just too many expectations to live up to and not nearly enough time. I hope to god I don't see any Dinobots, thats just completely impractical.

i think the sequel is going to have the dinobots in it, the writers have a total hardon for them, and I think the only logical explaination would be to have their protoforms land on the set of ol'steve speilburg's #1 movie "jurassic park" i know it sounds cheesy, but as if this movie wasnt full o cheese. and i would prefer them to be more like mercs. not necessarily good or bad. it would be cool to see them as 3x changers, and make them more primal in beast mode, and more strategic in bot mode, the 3rd mode could be as weapon hauling death machine. they should be metal messes like megatron, but with a holographic skin over there metal form, that would make them awesome, they could go chameleon and hide anywhere.

 

I think megs will return , in part 2, hopefully nothing horrible. I would like to see him rescued by the quintessons, or a unicron faction. not to see unicron in part 2, thats tooooooo soon. but it would be the perfect way to revive him, have someone else need the allspark power that is now inside him, he doesnt need to know how to use it. maybe the sharkticons, could save him from the depths, and bay has even hinted at an "aircraft carrier" size. so why not just have an aircraft carrier pull him right back out of the water. he woul dbe so much more badass if he actually takes an earth form in part 2, and with the power of the allspark, he could revive his fallen comrades( btw if "devastator" was ripped into 5 peices underwater, the allspark could make 5 single bots, with one concienceness, so they could combine)

 

i have a feeling that starscream will be much more of an ass in part 2, he was probably heading to cybertron to gloat he is the new leader. more of a weasel, than a loud mouth idiot.

 

i would hope that the autobot hailing that occurs at the end, would attract a bit more than just the good guys.

 

I think astrotrain would be awesome, I am sure the military would have satellites facing out to prevent any more unexpected TF's from coming to earth, maybe the smaller protoforms could sneek past as stray meteors, but any larger ones would need a clear path, if AT was there he would go un noticed, possibly taking the place of a space shuttle crew. blowing up a few satellites before entry. then taking a train form, on earth, (spaceships don't exactly fit in )

 

i think megs could be a jerk and resurrect jazz as a decepticon. just to be nice.

 

we need a step up on the next installment, less love story more actual story.

if shockwave is megs #2 , i would like to see him take on the seekers, and prove his dominance.

 

soundwave does not need to be a tape player, ugh i hate G1 fetishists. i say he should stay in cybertronian form, them his "tapes" could just be spys.

 

maybe some non-G1 characters, I love some of the newer bots, I.E. tidal wave.

If I were to put in my spectulations for the the next film, I see it as a basic trilogy setup where we'll get a ton of new characters (Dinobots, Constructicons, mass-shifter types, etc.), the Autobots will lose (a la Empire Strikes Back) and then we get a reprive in a third movie where the Autobots come back from behind and clean up. It's also a good excuse to redeco everyone and sell more toys... :-P

 

Also, does anyone else see similarities between the apparent destruction of the Decepticons (Megatron can't be dead, that would be silly...) and they're being dumped in the ocean to the end of the first season of G1 and the new Decepticon base under the ocean? That was my first thought immediately. But I guess we'll all just have to wait and see....
