This is it? Someone has seen it and there are only 2 pages?! Come on, guys!

I have some questions, anyways:

Do you feel the Transformers themselves are decently realized characters? Does the movie treat them like characters or just springboards for action scenes?

Is that part where

Bumblebee pisses oil on someone actually in there? That kind of made me roll my eyes when I read it.

Is the Bonecrusher fight a decent length? I think I am most excited for that part.

They do a great job on the Robots they look very real, and yes they are treated like characters well at least the Autobots are, The Decepticons still ROCK!

The characters are reasonably decent representations of their G1 counterparts.

I'm sure I mentioned it before, but

here's a basic run down of their personas:

Optimus Prime: Just like G1 - heroic, noble and utterly courageous. His contingency plan involves sacrificing his own Spark.

Ratchet: intelligent and sophisticated (although not pretentious) and a darn good fighter!

Ironhide: triggerhappy and a bit gruff - cos all he knows is soldierin' - but still willing to lay himself on the line to defend the innocent. When the Decepticons attack the city, Ironhide is the first to help coordinate a defensive strategy and also erect a make-shift barrier to protect themselves and the humans.

Jazz: As I said before, he has Afro-American mannerisms and as Prime's second in command will respectfully question Prime's decisions - particularly his decision not to rescue Bumblebee from the humans. He sacrifices his own life fighting Megatron.

Megatron: "relentless" is the word. Oh yeah, I also have a newfound respect for his Cybertronian jet mode too. When I first got the toy, I didn't think that much of it - but once I saw it in action... yeah. His power is without peer.

Starscream: Not openly defiant in this movie, he's portrayed as being a loyal lieutenant to Megatron, which is not out of place for Starscream because there were plenty of moments in G1 where Starscream feigned adamant piety to Megatron... but the movie also shows that Megatron isn't buying any of it. One of the first things Megatron says to Starscream is, "You fail me yet again, Starscream."

Blackout: Although named after a different G1 Decepticon, he is a lot more like the G1 cartoon version of Soundwave - the main communications officer and also fiercely loyal to Megatron. When Starscream gives the order to go retrieve Megatron - which is like the main Decepticon roll call scene (in which btw, Brawl 'introduces' himself as Devastator, so it's not just a name for his alt mode or whatever) - Blackout says, "All hail Megatron!"

Barricade: He's your typical Decepticon grunt and a real, real mean sonofabitch. He's the Decepticons' main infiltration agent. Since G1 Barricade never appeared in G1 canon (cartoon or comics) there's no real comparison.

Frenzy: Frenzy is awesome and I wish that HasTak would release a proper figure of this toy. He transforms into a CD stereo player and is human sized in robot mode. Like G1 Frenzy and Rumble, the guy's just a real nasty punk... but otherwise he's a lot like Waspinator...

Yeah, it's there. Believe me, it's not as bad as it may seem, when you watch it in the context of the entire scene that it's in, it's actually pretty hilarious.

Simmons has been an absolute prick to Sam and Mikaela - scaring them, threatening them, kidnapping them etc. and when the Autobots come and rescue them, Sam and Mikaela decide to get some payback by getting him to take his clothes off before tying him up. Bumblebee decides to join in by popping off the cap to his lubricant tank and pisses lube onto Simmons. Take your Bumblebee toy. See how there's a yellow cab on his crotch? Yeah, that's his lube port. Mind you, it's the 08 Camaro Bumblebee, but the port's still in the same spot. He has his hands on his hips and just pisses all over Simmons. It's bloody hilarious because it ends a scene where Simmons has really been an absolute bastard to Sam and Mikaela - Bumblebee's human friends. So really, it was Bumblebee's way of helping his mates get some payback. But of course, boy scout Optimus Prime stops him by saying, "Bumblebee! Stop lubricating all over him!" - a reference that Ironhide made before when Sam's dog actually pissed on Ironhide's foot - "Your rodent seems to be leaking lubricant"

I thought it was decent enough...

all the fights in this movie are actually quite fast, because that's how fights are in reality. And I actually appreciate that - I personally really can't stand the drawn out theatrical fighting that most movies put you through... that's why I actually dislike most "martial arts" movies in terms of fight choreography and will just laugh at anyone who even tries to consider movie fighting as anything approaching reality. But I like the fight choreography in this movie. As I said before, it's fast, blurry and gritty... more like reality.

Don't be concerned so much about the quantity of the fight, but the quality. ;) If you want quantity, go watch Matrix Reloaded or Matrix Revolutions (*yyaawwwwnnn*).

hrsanchez15: where did you see the movie? And if you have photos, do post and share! :)

Thanks for all the info Goki (in this case I doubt anyone will be blasting your long posts :tflaugh) I'm glad to know that the characterizations of the TFs even seem more expanded than they were in the novel.

I've read all the spoilers and they just make me want more!

About Bumblebee: how and when does he

switch from the old Camaro to the new?

I don't think this question is a spoiler (the answer surely is), but I'm new here so I'll play it safe.

Thx for some awesome info!

1. Is there still a Ratchet telling the kids their puberty level scene?

2. Is there still a bully throwing a gummy worm in Sam's hair?

3. Is there any teamwork crap?

4. Which were there more of? Giant Powerglideing robots, or small pathetic humans?

5. Are any humans killed on screen? Blood and gore?

6. Is there the pool and toothfairy scene?

7. How long into the movie before a giant Powerglideing robot shows up?

8. Any Sam in his underwear scenes?

Sorry, I read the early script, and had a lot of questions.

I got questions too-

1) please tell me the movie didn't end like the book did? with no real workable sequel plot?

2) did they destroy Brawl? the book glazed over this.

3) is the soundtrack the music that bumblebee use as he is talking.

an thank you Michael Bay for separating Megatron and Galvatron!

Why ain't no one responding to my post or my PM?

Sorry, but a workable sequel plot is totally there...

Prime sends out that signal for other Cybertronians to come to Earth. This means more Autobots and Decepticons. Sequel will be Shockwave (or some other Decepticon Leader) comes to Earth with a new group of 'Cons. And more Autobots show up too.

Works for a sequel.

also

Starscream and Barricade survived - and we see Starscream flying into space at the end, presumably to summon more Decepticon reinforcements.

Also

Scorponok is not shown to be dead, and we all know Frenzy is like Waspinator.
