I compared them both (movie Jazz/Alt Camshaft) yesterday.

 

They look identical to me.

Doesn't anyone have a problem with the Jazz's arms are made? I just think that this is the worst design of arms on a robot. It looks un-finished and like it will fall apart. And I was looking forward to this figure.

actually it's not as bad as one would think once you get the pieces together. esp with the gun it makes sense, it's very much like the movie where an arm transforms into the gun instead of the gun being held. what bothers me the most with the arms is the hands, they're almost an after-thought, but i don't feel ripped off giving $10 for it so it doesn't ruin the whole figure. however don't take my word for it, wait till you actually see him irl and then make your choice, each person has different feelings.

Also, has anyone noticed the hinge piece on Jazz's gun?

any Ideas for it?

Its fits into the joint for the back of the car when you put it on his arms as a shield, but looks kinda strange.

hinge piece? the little over hang clip thingy? it's to attach the gun to the spoiler in vehicle mode.

no, right in front of that is a piece with a hole in it, and it clips into the hinge on the trunk.

If I had my digi-cam I'd take a picture.

OH ok, you can remove the shield part and then hook in the weapon where the shield normally goes, is that it?

It's sort of a rumor. Theres a second listing for Jazz in the US list but right now how he'll look is pure speculation.. In the Takara list theres a battle damaged version listed.
