Glad your plug came out okay, Scruffy.... mine was shipped back to BBTS today, since I got the other one w/o the plug.

Yes!! I finally got MP-05 Megs in!! When I first opened the package I was a little scared. First off, there's this big yellow "notice" taped with mini-yellow stick-ons (easily comes off) stating not to use it in an (in short) offending manner. :D The box was fully re-taped and hardly no signs of tampering.

Then I opened it... There it was, that big (exagerates) orange butt plug. I already had my dremel, pliers and hair dryer ready to operate and remove it. Initially I tried to pry it off with my finger tips, it moved a little but I couldnt get a good grip on it with my short nails (and I assumed there was some adhesive) Finally, I took a long nose plier, making sure it only griped the plug..twisted and pulled.. viola!! no more butt plug!! 30 seconds flat.

So for those of you worrying about its removal, dont worry. The figure itself is prestine, nice tight joints and nicely engineered. A little flimsy, but not as flimsy as the yamato YF-19. Lots of racheted joints where theyre needed and more importantly it can hold a pose and it wont fall apart when you look at it funny. I havent transformed it yet, maybe this weekend... Im gonna play with it a little bit more in bot mode. Got mine from BBTS. Get 'em while they're hot.

Hello boys,

I'm way to lazy to post pictures, but you can remove the orange plug in a few easy steps.

1-Remove the barrel- two screws on the bottom of the barrel where the hinge is. Simple...

2-Get out the drill bits. Start with a small one first and go unit you drill all the way through. Go a little bigger each time, until you losen up the plug. Mine came out on it's own with the heat generated from the drilling. USE A LOW POERED DRILL. Grab you battrery powered drill when the juice is almost out if you have too. Don't get too crazy with it.

3- Take a small screwdriver and remove the access glue.

Took me about five minutes.

The excess glue?

And that sounds a little complex...what does their plug look like?

Its a hard red plug thats glued in. However from what I've heard you can get the glue to loosen up with a hair dryer on low heat as well, which would be much easier and less destructive then a drill.

Indeed

Or you could have ordered from TFsource, who just kinda shoved an earplug in the barrel really well :tflaugh

I am very happy with my TFsource Megs....2 seconds and that sucker was landfill fodder.

Uh, I ordered my MP Megs from BBTS and pulled out the plug w/ almost no effort. All I did was pull it out w/ my fingers while giving it a slight twist. There's a little glue left in the barrel, but I could care less about that.

Ask my cousin Walt.
