Whew, I'm glad I didn't get mine through BBTS. It seems they're the only ones that actually glued the plug in. Poor Meg.

yeah, rly.

I know that they tried to comply with the customs laws the best that they could, but GLUED plug = return'D for me.

So Big Bad Toy Store really glued in their plugs for MP-5? Did they just forget who their customers are?

They're also the largest US-based retailer offering MP05 for sale. They have the most to lose by trying to skirt US toy laws. Any seller that DIDN'T glue in their plug is not in compliance with the law. I honestly can't blame them.

poor megs, they glued an Orange peg into his hole....That's gotta be uncomfortable... :tflaugh

Who would tell on them? Besides, collectors are the only ones that would buy such an item, so BBTS really has nothing to worry about.

It isn't a matter of someone telling on them. It is a matter of Cutsoms discovering them during an inspection.

a fixable problem.

Bleh. I'd rather take my chances w/ Customs than pay all that money for an altered toy.

Got mine from bbts today and removed the plug no problem. It did leave a little orange tinted glue residue in the barrel, but I don't care. If you get the bbts mod version just take a hair dryer and warm up the barrel and pry it out or twist it out with a pair of pliars. The package sat in the back of a ups truck all day til it got to me. This helped make the plastic softer and more maleable, loosening up the hold of the glue as well. When I started prying on it the plug would stretch but wouldn't release, so I applied a little more force and out pops the orange cap!
