Masterpiece Megatrons and Customs

but it's also easily shearable, it would take nothing to remove it leaving only a residue inside the barrel :clap

This is one of those things I would like to be wrong about regarding customs.. but it ain't no crime to worry about it.

Ordered from Robotkingdom on 3/31/07, to be shipped via EMS option. Received on 4/3/07.

Megatron is unmodified, no cap/plug. No apparent trouble from customs. Went through Kennedy customs.

Hope this alleviates any concerns from RK orderers.

BBTS had to make it difficult didn't they?

Just re-read the criteria that the plug for the barrel has to meet. According to the requirements bbts has listed on their page the orange cap has to extend down the length of the barrel 1/4-1/2". I also know it says the cap has to be permanently affixed but seeing as how the plug doesn't meet the cap requirements why would they bother gluing the plug in? It doesn't make sense to me if they're already being insubordinate, why not go the full nine and just insert the plug without glue? This makes me think that the "mod" is just a cheap open the box, insert red plug, close box, repeat kinda operation. Ultimately leading me to believe there will be no glued in plugs. Just my observation, though.

Wow that sucks. If my MP Megs has a plug, I'm returning him.

Having it glued inside the barrel means you can drill it out without damaging the outside surface of the barrel. Much better than what I'd imagined would happen.

plug >>> cap IMO

Agrees with siburke.

A dremel tool and a drill will take care of that. :)
