Fort Max reissue

Recommended Posts

After reading all these posting, you can see what was going on takara's head.

And I hate to say this but they will never reissue Fort Max. You're best chance on a low budget is to get the Brave Max. It's cheap enough to still play with and has all the play factor as the original. Though i hate the colors. As for the original, your will prolly spend over $500 for a complete one. After getting it and realizing how much you spent, you will think twice before actually displaying or playing with him.

Another thing to consider is that most kids play with video games instead of toys nowadya. Which turns brains into mush. :tftongue

i say make a new upgraded fort max that still turns into a city and due away with all the drop test milarky pieces that brake off, just like ie new metroplex. and as for the quote that has been said a million times already to this same question( if they made him he would cost too much) seriously how many of you have spent thousands of dollars on transformers already, do you really think if it had a 100+ dollar price on it you wouldnt pick it up( i.e masterpieces, botcon exclusives, imports, ect)!!

Agreed!

I keep saying that would should have some baseformers in the Classics line.

And yes, I know about the complaints of it being too costly for them to make it but hell, just make one good one with the new classics technology. With these new transforming methods, i bet they can really pull off something really slick.

Here's my old post to show the WST Ft Max, enjoy!

that is exactly what i was talking about. awesome :thumb

with all the newer minicons and wst's, there are plenty of figures to enjoy with fortmax (of any continuity). now its just a matter of them releasing a real base transformer. the current planet transformers are cool... but not like the bases. (ie trypticon, metroplex, scoponok...)

I'd like to see something like the Micromaster bases kinda: Loads of Deluxe or Voyager size Transformers that can change into bases, robots (okay, even blocky E-Wing Saber-ish robots) & that can combine into a big city in base-mode (with Minicon garages, ramps, etc) or as part of a "build-a-figure" Fort Max style robot. Do combiners have to pass a "drop-test" I wonder? I know the Energon ones fall apart if you just think of looking at them the wrong way!

G1 nostalgia aside, I think Brave Max actually has nicer colours than Fortress Maximus. He's got that interesting combination of black, red, silver and two different shades of blue. Fortress Maximus on the other is like the king of greyscale. :P

I bought an original Fort Max MIB for my classics to have a base but when I realised how much I spent I just got rid of it straight away, there was to much money tied up in it and if I had damaged anything etc it would have been an expensive job, I'm just going to get a brave max and be done with it that way I've no worries if he gets knocked about a bit.

I would rather get a reissue Metroplex, but that won't happen either.

just get an original, the parts aren't too hard to find on ebay and he's not too complete (got plastic tire version for less than £10)

Yes, that is true, but I want a non-yellowed rubber tire complete version.
