Fort Max reissue

Recommended Posts

As the reissues depend mainly on the availability of molds, what prevents Takara from releasing a 20th Anniversary Fort Max? :tfhuh

apart from the cost of production?

if they have started showing transformers headmasters again i don't see why not but without a show there is no garauntee it will sell and i don't think takomy want to sell something that might ultimately cripple them

not to mention that there has been quite a few released. it'd be kinda like reissuing bruticus...

don't get me wrong, it'd be Powerglideing sweet, but i wouldn't hold my breath

Hmmm... I see your point, but I'm talking about a collector's edition, just like Predaking.

There are still many G1 collectors like me, who don't own an original one because of its cost, are not interested in the RID one but would buy a reissue, in a copy of the original package if possible. For a piece like this, the shipping costs and customs taxes would be justified.

This does not need a cartoon; and I don't think the production costs would be that high for the price it would sell at, which would remain affordable for the average collector, for the brand new condition of the toy. As for the multiple rereleases, I think we've seen enough Optimuses and Megatrons as reissues to believe reissuing FM would not be reckless. FM/BM/GM was only released as part of G1 (US, JP) and RID lines... And he's definitely one of the most wanted TFs, due to his size and relative rarity.

Nope they won't reissue him due to toy safety issues. As part of the tests they do this really horrible one called the "drop test".

In short big toy pushed from a height of say a second storey house and then measure how big the fragments are. If the shards of plastic are over a certain length it won't get sold.

He failed, oh for shame and sorrow such wanton sacrilege destroying a mint Maximus :(

I really couldn't watch them do that test, cos I'd be trying to catch it :clap

he's talking about takara/tomy, not hasbro. TT doesn't have to worry about drop tests and what-not

Oh sorry, true they can release what they like in Japan such as a Power Ranger Death Sword with Super Mega Hyper Killing Action Spikey Horribleness.

We'd get a rubber duck, in some funny colour so that it doesn't look like a real duck :D

Can I have a tootsie pop? :D

ugh american kids are jsut plain retarded and unfortunately we are victims to their incompetence.

No thanks...

Lets have a better toy re-issued. Never felt any love for that huge brick.

wtf? Let's not make broad generalizations of a whole country or anything.
