I think I'm down a bit from my last post, whatever that was...

My gosh. All you people are INSANE! :tftongue

I don't count my Transformers because if I did, I'd start assigning $$$ to each one, eventually add it all up, and then I'd get bummed out knowing how much I've spent on all of it.

I think I have less than 100. I hope.

I don't just collect Tranformers, unfortunately.

I've never attempted to document or calculate how much I've spent on my collection - probably because if I did I would be bummed out... but I've never had the urge to do it either.

My collection is somewhere around the 1100 mark according to the universal counting method so yeah... a mind-boggling amount would've been spent on my collection. Mind you, that's spread throughout 23 years of collecting. I'm more amazed (re: freaked out) by the newer fans who amass hundreds of Transformers in only recent years or months.

just droppin in, as of xmas 2007, I have over 1100! :)

I got about 600 or so since Alt Smokey came out in the UK... :doh

I have 1 millionty-three TFs! j/k I have some where between 275-315. I'm too lazy to count again I'll go look at Hasbros guide and memory count one day.

I don't think I want to spend the time it would require to count them. Plus I'm a bit afraid to know, since I'll start thinking about how much money I've put into them. About a year and a half ago I could boast that I owned at least one of every US released transformer ever made, but I've sold off quite a few this year to help offset medical expenses. I had a pretty good bit of the main JP characters too, but I've sold everyone except Raiden. Should I count gross or net? I have 2 to 3 of each gestalt still, and 2 of every leader and electronic TF, except Sky Lynx. Somewhere during collecting titaniums I just had a moment where I decided "hey, I think I've spent enough on these things". I did buy all the movie character TF's, plus Arcee and Longarm, but that's as far as I'm going with those. Might buy some of th animated ones though...

sounds kinky. ;)

  • 1 month later...

after actually reading what counts and what doesn't i have issue with one example.... rollout and overload counting as two.

rollout is a stand alone figure, but overload is only a battle platform, without rollout.

overload had no head without rollout... and should not count.
