i like the trigger placement.

but it is an early prototype so maybe the finished product won't need those stands. since Takara is trying to be G1 toy accurate, maybe they'll go all out and give him a metal skeleton like the G1 toy had.

Any one notice G1 Megs standing in the background?

I hate the torture of seeing one tiny weeny pic as the first sighting.

Let's not start any more rumors about MP figures okay :tflaugh

all we have is a picture, with no explanation of what it represents

Let the whining begin..."His legs are too skinny...the cannon's too big...he looks fragile...he looks TOO GREY (:tftongue)"

Cease this pointless whining RIGHT NOW! MASTERPIECE MEGATRON RULES YOU!

Yes, but wouldn't you like this figure even more if these things were better, ie thicker legs, more proportionate cannon, sturdier build??? I will of course be buying this, but I really hope they address these problems before it is finalized.

It's only a problem if you consider G1 toy accuracy to be a problem. Just as MP-01 was clearly a toon homage, and MP-03 was an alt mode wankfest, MP-05 looks to be all about the G1 toy.

"...he looks fragile"

Quoted again for emphasis. I am all about the G1 accuracy, but I still think that they could and probably will beef this guy up a bit, just so they don't have the same complaints as w/ MP SS.

That Photoshop is fantastic. However, I am not going to get worked up over a PS like I did w/ SS since all that did was lead to disappointment and misery when they showed the real colors. Excellent job on the PS though.

Well I look at it this way... he's a realistic gun, which is what G1 Megs was. The only color they added to the original toy was red in some places on the robot mode. So I see no reason at all why his color scheme wouldn't be spot on G1 accurate.

Pretty F'n Sweet if you ask me!
