I dont agree with them being proper colors unless they are marked to identify the customs so people are not paying $500 for a custom shuffler, Me and elrod had a chat about this, some things are not meant to be reprod to look like the originals. Ft max sword would be nice. I know if you have the man power/time you can do alot with g1 parts as lots of people ar elooking to complete there figs for cheap.

 

wst magnus armor would be neat but like the heads id make it a bit different.

i would imagine that marking them wouldn't be that hard

 

i would appreciate it if you could display them with no noticeable difference, maybe mark or paint parts that are going to be covered up while display, i.e. gun handels, head connectors, things of that nature

I could see people getting screwed out of alot of dough if the look the exact same

hence the discoloration of parts of the piece not shown during display only. either that or subtly changing the colors of certain details or something.

 

i guess i'm trying to say mark it in a way that will make it distinguishable, but a way that doesn't detract from it

Hey Hal, so as not to step on each others toes, the Max parts, and the seats for the headmasters have all been cast, we just haven't put them up on the website. Also, I have a complete library of all of the US G1 parts and quite a few Japanese, so no need to mail us anything. Things like the exclusive swords and Magnus armor we don't have access to, so that would be a great thing for you guys to do (I'd buy 'em). We have many of the Alt parts including the gun barrels available now, although, the gun barrel isn't the best due to the one we copied was flawed so if you get a better copy go for it. A lot of the newer Jap stuff we don't have either. The Coby Ramble head would be a good idea.

 

We are in the process of a few test runs on the JP headmasters. Basically, it all works out to wether they can be taken apart AND reassembled without destroying them. I'm not about to destroy a $450 Shuffler, so if we can't disassemble them, I'm going to pass on that project. It also requires a tool to put the brads in the legs back in that costs about $60, so there is another factor. If it does happen, I will either change the colour of a part (probably arms), or put a large obvious stamp somewhere. No one will be ripped off because of us.

 

Admittably, Alyosha is doing this for the money, because this is actually all he does for a living right now (mostly Joes). I got him to do the TFs more because I, like you, wanted to help the fandom. Let me know what crap you're doing so I don't waste any silicone on our end :)

I think what I'd like to do is see what people want. Molding and casting is very expensive to start up and I'd rather not make a mold of something that won't see at least 25 parts or so. Anything less won't be worth our time to do. I know you understand what I'm talking about.

 

What about a thread or a section or soemthing on either your or my site that says the current custom offerings from both our shops?

 

Something that people could go and look at and see who's making what?
