Movie Megatron Head Not Like Leaked Pic

Recommended Posts

It was NOT because we were trying to make the fans happy. NO SIREE.

a common theme :roll

Please, fans can't be happy.

And I don't mean individual fans, but the whole of fandom collectively.

Everyone with an opinion in this thread is a fan, and yet, GASP, we can't all agree together.

And that's just with Megatron's head. Trying to "please the fans" in this situation is an impossible task. Particularly this fandom. I mean, most Transformers canon doesn't even agree with itself (Primacron, anyone? Dark God my achin' ass...) so how can the people drawn to the property by the different canons agree with each other?

They'll make the movie they make based off the elements they choose. If you like it, great. If not, well, you'll live.

"they're not pleasing the fans" is just another way of saying "they're not pleasing ME". It's all selfishly driven, with the opinions of other fans who agree taken as corroborating evidence of the truth of your position (and the opinions of fans who disagree marginalized or ignored).

Which is why I don't really care what the robots look like, just as long as they look like they belong in the real world and not a cartoon. Make a super-detailed GeeWun-looking Megatron, I don't care. Make him look like a pointy metal thorn bush, I don't care. It's not MY movie.

Well, that's just Prime.

The Iconography to me BM is in the character value more so than the physical character itself.

Optimus Prime: Strong leader, biggest car in the lot. Willing to sacrifice himself for the greatest good.

Megatron: The ultimate villain for the ultimate leader; has a grand plan. wants to find a means to an end. even at the destruction of another world.

Starscream: the impatient second in command. The want-to-lead without example, willing to do whatever it takes to get what he wants before the plan.

To me the movie just has to hit these points about the character more so than what they look like. We've seen Fire Engines and called them Optimus. Just because its not the way someone wants it to look doesn't mean its not the character of Prime we all want to see.

With Megatron its just pointless namecalling and bigotry for an idea of something more sinister, alien and deadly to be the counter to that unrecognizable leader. Same with the more Alien looking Screamer.

Simply put, they don't give a Blot what the fans think and they haven't since they asked for names of characters that should be in the movie. :thumb

um...wait a minute, I take that back. If you say bad things about the movie and they hear about it they act like 5yr olds and throw a fit.

Arrrgh, NO! :slap

Unless you mean, "too simply put to make sense in the real world".

The point is that fans all think different things. There is no, "what fans think". There's what I think, what you think, and what everyone else thinks. Sometimes it's the same, sometimes it isn't. But there is no single concensus. It doesn't exist.

All they can do is make the movie they think should be made.

*wants to start something*

So how did the sketch even transform? You can't even tell it is an trasformer.

That's because it's not a toy intended for five-year-old children.

So were getting awesome toys that can morph, and in no way look like transforming? I can live with that.
