yeah really. in terms of being the "Heart and soul" of the decepticons, in the same way that Prime was the "Heart and soul" of the autobots, Starscream fits that role much better than Megs. Prime and Screamer stood apart as exemplars of the values held by their respective teams.

I know you BW/BM Megs reminded me alot of Starscream. In the fact that he wasn't the real Megs but he wanted to be ruler of Cybertron. One difference in BW Megs and Starscream is that he was the most powerful amonst his crew and he was feared. But just like Starscream he didn't have whole hearted support from his crew and his personality. He believed he was above every one else. he was constantly making smart remarks. He only cared about himself with no regard what so ever for hiw crew and he never had their best interest in mind. He was vain and dramatic and in the end for the sake of power, he willingly sacrificed every one for his goals. He talked to himself a lot too.

 

BW/BM Megatron= Best Transformer Ever. If I wrote a dictionary, I would put a picture of BW Megs next to the word "evil."

 

Starscream- he's wannabe evil. Sure, he's tough, but he's also stupid. He never could overthrow Megs in any continuity and never will. Megatron is almost always evil to the core. Starscream more iconic than Megatron, I think not!

am I the only one who renembers the mass hate for this guy when the pics first came out... so whats with this "i liked it" stuff

 

personaly i hope all the faces get the same sorta look that the I-robot guys got but thats just me and i think its safe to say im not mr bay

 

so the leaked pic was not the final design for Megatron? is this like how the leaked sketch was not the final design for Starscream?

i dont think thier was a sketch for screamer but thier was a toy proto and if thier making a proto of it id say hes not going to change that much and will be the gorilla jet

As for Meg's head, that was the only part of his design I liked. I HATE his body. He looks more like a technorganic Ent than a Transformer, and you know he's just going to turn into a flying pile of crap.

To me, Starscream plays the "Lucifer" role in the Decepticon heirarchy. He feels he's much more suitable to lead and constantly undermines Megs.

Lucifer was also supposed to view himself as a "handsome" angel. I think Starscream has that conceitedness to him also. Which is why that fugly-ass movie design sucks all the more.

 

But anyways, lets hope Megatron looks better. Didn't care for the shifty-plate-lets, with long, draggy, claw-arms either. Makes me feel if they give Megs a fusion cannon, it will look like robotic poop too.

 

But to give the designer credit: I could definately hear Welker's raspy voice coming from that abomination over Kaye's.
