I have no idea how him going off on some INTERNET chodes translates to a lack of skill as a film producer. He's already addressed every stupid fanboy issue like a million times already. The problem is that people just can't accept "wait and see" because oh, they just KNOW so much about the movie, despite the fact that they haven't seen a SINGLE FRAME of it. And they're totally convinced that it will be a failure unless A and B and C happen and Murphy MUST be talking out of his ass since he OBVIOUSLY knows nothing about the film. Why would he? He's just one of the f*cking producers on it. And how could that possibly stand against the infinite wisdom of a f*cking fanboy who's stuck in the Reagan years and thinks creativity means "making Megatron an Uzi instead of a Walther".

 

And said fanboys are completely allowed to rip Murphy and Bay and everyone else a new one, despite COMPLETE ignorance about what the movie is actually like, because it's their right, nay, their DUTY as fans to voice the truth!!!! But should Murphy respond in kind.... oh hell, watch out. Quoted for great truth. I'm sure his surly attitude towards transformers fans comes from the fact that he recieved 100s of emails titled "Stop bowwww bow bow bow bowww my childhood!" long before the teaser trailer was released and absolutely nothing was known of the film.

You know, I can understand what you're saying. It was because of all the fanboy whining about X-men that Murphy started this message board experiment. He did try reaching out to the fans and listening to what they had to say, it does suck that so many "purists" decided to still be dicks. Murphy should have learned from Bob Skir's experience. Never make yourself accessable to the fans, they will try to kill you if you don't do it their way :roll .

 

Me, I'm in the sit and wait camp. I've seen the pre-production designs and overall like what I see, but I never took it has set in stone. The biggest problem I'm having is that July is coming fast enough!
