Great reviews everyone. :thumb

A great looking fig for the most part though the Takomy Q/C absolutely sucks.

Based on what I've read I already know I would absolutely hate this fig as is in all respects. I am in no way a fan of model guage plastics or fragile toys. Though I for the most part display most of my TFs I like having the option availabe that I can transform them safely whenever need be. Everything I have I can do just that and it doesn't have to be fisherprice plastic to do it either. I personally used to hate the alts for that very reason but having transformed them repeatedly I learned they're a lot tougher and more durable than the look. Thus far the only thing I've broken is Windshargers right side bumper half. Fogot to force the wheel in the other direction beforehand. :tfmad That said I wouldn't even want to attempt transforming let alone owning this one. MP Prime was dicast but again for the most part durable and able to take a fair bit of punishment. Mine has fallen twice in bot mode and has yet to even chip paint. Not that I'd recommend throwing him around.

If Hasbro does eventially release MP Starscream I'm really hoping for alt quality plastic. Durable for the most part and won't normally break let alone stress unless you really do something wrong or for that matter stupid.

Alt Starscream is where I'm at reguarding the fence.

Gotta agree. I really wanted this, but I've been rendered paranoid by these posts that the figure is too fragile for the price. One of the things I enjoy about the Transformers "aimed at the older collector" such as BT/Alts and MP Prime is that they are resonably durable enough to withstand transformation w/out any stress marks or fragility. I've only damaged my Shockwave Alt, and that was due to impatience and excessive force. But if MP Starscream is nervewracking during transforming, and delicate in 'bot mode, I don't know if I can drop that kind of cash on something like that. Sorry, but it sounds like the PROS are outweighed by the (Decepti)CONS.

I just got it in a local shop here in The Netherlands. A bit more expensive (120 euros) but definitely worth it! Damn, it looks even more awesome then on the net.

Where are you at in the Netherlands? I have a friend that is over there in Holland. I might send him that way.

The store is called Concrete and is on the Schoolstraat 26 in The Hague. It's actually a very small shop for special brand clothing, but the owner expanded his hobby of Japanese toys to such a degree that he has started buying them in large groups so that he can sell them to the general public. He's got MP-03 and MP-04 in stock right now, though I recommend getting there quickly before he runs out. He also has a few Binaltechs left as well.

It feels fragile but I've transformed mine several times and haven't broke any thing.

Here's where I am on the fig now. If you want him, you will be happy with your purchase. I know I am. I'm not gonna lie though. I know that if this figure was sold here by Hasbro, it shouldn't be a penny past $40. 45 as the most. If you wanna justify the added price, it is an exclusive that can't be found in US stores.

:pfx and I don't think there is no way in hell that I'll be getting any good deals on this.

Wouldn't you be better off with Ebay? I paid $107 shipped. that shop has it for 120 euros($153 USD) plus you have to do shipping.

That shop is in my town. No shipment, just going there and getting the box myself :thumb

I thought about putting it into my BBTS loot, but I just didn't want to wait since there is more loot preordered there that I want to wait for before shipment.

But yeah, it's more expensive, I know. But I still think it was worth it.

Got a new PC camera today Way better than my old one so I'd take some poses with MP3

I wouldn't let the risk of damage prevent you from getting this toy. I don't think any patient adult would break it during transformation (especailly after reading this thread:) ). It's a very challenging TF, and some parts aren't as satifying to TF as I'd like, but I'm not worried I'll destroy it. I'm also not sure what other plastic would have the stiffness and strength to be viable for this mold. It's pretty spectacular. I would only not buy it if money were the issue or your not into awesome display pieces.
