do the Classic toys seem small to you guys?

I'm fine with a smaller size so long as the quality stays up.

I haven't touched them but they seem to be a good size to me. Prime being a tad taller than G1 Prime Means Megs is a tad taller then G1 Megs. There sizes make sense to me. for every one that wants a tall HotRod, you could always pretend Excellion is Hotrod..........or just play with the original mold.

I could care less abou their height. Just put Bumblebee on the shelf now dammit!!

I think the TiTF Roddy Prime will have to satisfy this hope.

As I get the feeling that for the Classics line we've already seen all of the original molds we're going to get. After all, it was always intended to be a filler line so that there would be something new on the shelves between Cybertron and the movie toys. And, I doubt Hasbro will support an additional non-movie line during the time the movie toys are on the shelves. The question is, will they restart the Classics line in 2008, or will we just see toys for whatever cartoon line follows the movie?

OFF TOPIC- The cartoon will be called Transformers Heros, made by CN studios. 27 eps I believe.....U.S. made. :usa

I think they'll make more than just one wave. Release is next month, month after, I can't remember but the movies not out until July...there's mad amounts of time for more toys in this line.

Even thought the movie is released in early July, the movie toys are supposed to be on the shelves around late April/early May.

Also, the current Classic line is planned to be two waves to distribute current number of molds. If there is a third wave I bet it consists mostly of repaints.

I hardly find them too small or "out of scale" with each other. Transformers has NEVER been about scale, after all.

As far as "Oh noes, Optimus is short" and other such crys, I welcome them. It's nice to have an army of Autobots and Decepticons of roughly equal proportions and size. Not to say that I want all the figures to be the same...but I'm glad we're moving away from the way too popular "Geez, Optimus. You're like twice our size. Would you like a little polishing of the ball bearings and piston pump while I'm down here? It's no trouble, it's what we Autobots do best!" et al that's been going on since G1.

In fact, you notice how in Beast Wars (and Machines), Optimus Primal was actually shrunk down to MATCH his troops? Crazy, ain't it?

thats what i meant actually. i like it when the figures are in scale in ROBOT mode.

i am especially pleased that for the first time in absolute yonks megatron and prime can actually look eachother in the face without utilising a power up

I thought the movie toys weren't due out til June...

Also, if Classics does well, Hasbro will probably run it alongside the movie line, or integrate it into the movie line...the X-Men line has plenty of variety to it, not all of the figures look like their movie counterparts.

I like the size b/c it:

1) keeps the costs down a bit

2) makes them a good playable size

and most importantly

3) makes it so they fit into my display cabinet much easier

:tflaugh werd

I really hope this toyline is set for more than 2 friggin' waves. I was expecting at least 3 or 4 (including all repaints/remolds).

I hope they are smaller, that would be so cool, it is easier for me to appreciate the design work if they are smaller, it's harder to work on and develope
