do the Classic toys seem small to you guys?

Recommended Posts

I like the size b/c it:

1) keeps the costs down a bit

2) makes them a good playable size

and most importantly

3) makes it so they fit into my display cabinet much easier

And is Hasbro passing that down to us? No, they're charging $20 for a DX (Prime), and soon to be upping the price for Leader Class figs. I fail to see why I should care about Hasbro's bottom line.

I hardly find them too small or "out of scale" with each other. Transformers has NEVER been about scale, after all.

nothing in bm was to scale. bw was quite good as was rid. i havent seen an episode of a/e/c yet so i dont know.

They do seem small to me, esp. Prime. I am rather disappointed that he is nearly a head shorter then Laser Prime even with mile-long legs. He can probably look Cybertron Hot Shot in the eye.

Then again, I am much more glad that they moved away from the absurd $40 leader size.

after looking at remy's classic prime pictures standing next to g1 prime i took my g1 magnus cab stood it next to cybertron crumplezone. from head to toe it looks classic prime is the same height as crumplezone. or at least close to it.

I think the TiTF Roddy Prime will have to satisfy this hope.

As I get the feeling that for the Classics line we've already seen all of the original molds we're going to get. After all, it was always intended to be a filler line so that there would be something new on the shelves between Cybertron and the movie toys. And, I doubt Hasbro will support an additional non-movie line during the time the movie toys are on the shelves. The question is, will they restart the Classics line in 2008, or will we just see toys for whatever cartoon line follows the movie?

OFF TOPIC- The cartoon will be called Transformers Heros, made by CN studios. 27 eps I believe.....U.S. made. :usa

I think they'll make more than just one wave. Release is next month, month after, I can't remember but the movies not out until July...there's mad amounts of time for more toys in this line.

Even thought the movie is released in early July, the movie toys are supposed to be on the shelves around late April/early May.

Also, the current Classic line is planned to be two waves to distribute current number of molds. If there is a third wave I bet it consists mostly of repaints.

Anyone for seeker repaints?

Yes plz!

as for size, the smaller the better I say, especially for shelf-space.

I haven't touched them but they seem to be a good size to me. Prime being a tad taller than G1 Prime Means Megs is a tad taller then G1 Megs. There sizes make sense to me. for every one that wants a tall HotRod, you could always pretend Excellion is Hotrod..........or just play with the original mold.

I could care less abou their height. Just put Bumblebee on the shelf now dammit!!

So Classics Prime is about the same size as G1?!?!?!? Just a tad taller means the old G1 trailer I found in a bunch of crap a looooooong time ago might fit him. Saweet. As for the size of the figures...it's fine by me. I just wish they'd of given Hotrod and Rodimus their classic G1 paint decos with the orange hoods it's only right.

I never liked that orange hood. The orange with the red made Hot Rod look kinda unfinished-white-trash-project, like you'd see it out front of a trailer, occasionally up on blocks. The monochrome body looks much better IMO.

As for size I personally like the idea of the alt modes being in scale, at least as much as possible while retaining some play value. I wish Prime were a little bigger, because frankly unless you take mass-shifting into account he SHOULD tower over most of his troops. He's a damn semi-truck. Compared to most of the Autobot cars he would, and should, be huge. But, a lot of the Bots might actually be fairly close in scale. Hard to tell without having them in my hands to compare.

*bangs head on desk* HASBRO!!! WHERE ARE THEY?!? I WANT THEM NOW!! NOW DAMMIT!! DAMN YOU TO HELL!!!!!

Sorry. Anyway. Am I the only one who kinda wishes Starscream came with a miniature version of gun-mode Megs sized to fit his fists?
