do the Classic toys seem small to you guys?

Recommended Posts

I think the TiTF Roddy Prime will have to satisfy this hope.

As I get the feeling that for the Classics line we've already seen all of the original molds we're going to get. After all, it was always intended to be a filler line so that there would be something new on the shelves between Cybertron and the movie toys. And, I doubt Hasbro will support an additional non-movie line during the time the movie toys are on the shelves. The question is, will they restart the Classics line in 2008, or will we just see toys for whatever cartoon line follows the movie?

It's not so much that they're too small, just that - as others have poined out - certain sizes seem out of whack. Astrotrain and Hot Rod should probably be a little bigger, and Bumblebee should be a little smaller. Optimus is really too small, too. He's basically just a Deluxe in a big, empty Voyager box. Look at the Magnus vs. Skywarp 2-pack - They're the same size. The Seekers are perfect, though, and Jetfire looks about right.

Or maybe it's because the line is ONLY Voyagers and Deluxes

Or have you people failed to notice that quite a few Cybertron Deluxes aren't actually SUPER tall?

they are all an ideal size

they seem decent for their size, albeit production costs, its neat that even the leader figures are the same as everyone else which gives it a better play value imo. *wait there are some of us that play with trasformers??? j/k* sure they may be a bit small but they have got alot of neat gimmicks, weapons, and poseability. i just hope they are priced reasonably

Huh, I really like the sizes. About time IMO Prime wasn't freaking huge. That and smaller bots mean less display space needed. Win/Win all the way.

Also I'd rather have better articulation, paintaps, detailing opposed to a massively ginormous mold.

It's not the size that matters, it's how well designed the toys are.

What?

well they're the same size as cyb downshift and when i took him out of the packaging i thought he's small.

it can only be a good thing though because it means we can have tfs in scale with older figures

I hardly find them too small or "out of scale" with each other. Transformers has NEVER been about scale, after all.

As far as "Oh noes, Optimus is short" and other such crys, I welcome them. It's nice to have an army of Autobots and Decepticons of roughly equal proportions and size. Not to say that I want all the figures to be the same...but I'm glad we're moving away from the way too popular "Geez, Optimus. You're like twice our size. Would you like a little polishing of the ball bearings and piston pump while I'm down here? It's no trouble, it's what we Autobots do best!" et al that's been going on since G1.

In fact, you notice how in Beast Wars (and Machines), Optimus Primal was actually shrunk down to MATCH his troops? Crazy, ain't it?
