G2 Beast Wars

A shell program is a program inserted into a transformer which alters their programming, mking them maximal or predacon. It does not create an entirely new individual

you're describing what Tarantulas' shell program did. There's no evidence to indicate that what he did was the only thing you could do to a Transformer.

And anyway, I'm sick and tired of people ragging on Beast Machines because it was different from Beast Wars. So friggin' what.

1 Cybertronian Year (Vorn) = 83 Earth Years

And while I'm at it, 1 Cybertronian Minute (Breem) = 1000000 Astroseconds or 8.3 Earth minutes, or 1 minute = 120482 Astroseconds. 1 Cybertronian Day (Orn) = 1.4 Earth days (33 hours 36 minutes).

You make a direct sequel, it needs to be similar to make sense. If thet'd made Beast Machines a stand alone series, it would have solved alot of my problems with continuity, because there wouldn't have to be any continuity. Still wouldn't have solced Nightscream out, but it makes more sense then complety re inventing the thing and trying to pass it off as a sequel

Hah, I was only of by 3

BTW, I take it click, cycles an megacycles are still similar to seconds, minute and hours?

1.  I would love to see more BW.  I'm diggin' on the new comics.  They've got me collecting BW toys again.

2.  I liked BM as it's own show, but didn't care too much for many of the character developments from BW (they deviated too much too quickly for my tastes).  I thought it was good as a stand alone, but not as a sequel (and that's how I like to view it).

3.  I was under the impression that BW began 300 vrons after the end of the "Great War" not the end G1.  Wich (by the BW description) was very different than the way the G1 cartoon ended, so who knows how long the great war went on after G1 ended.

4. (kinda a continuation of 1.) I'm very excited about the possibilities presented by the new comic and possible development of some of the "cameos" in book 1.  Who do Lio and Big Convoy turn out being?  What will their American names be?  It seems "Lio Convoy" is the leader of some sort of secret service faction of Maximals.  I think it would be cool if "Big Convoy" ends up being the beast era Prime (NOT Optimus Prime, but A Prime that succeds him and Rodimus [since the toy has a matrix])

I've only read the first two issues, but some of the cover art ( I know it is usually just fun stuff that has little to do with the comic, but none the less) has gotten my imagination wondering (specifically the one with Megs and Mags fighting)  What if something happens to disrupt Mag's chronological displacement and the two timelines merge?  Do the BW end the same?  OR, does the resulting timeline make BM the "what if" senario?  If Magmatron changes things so that Megatron doesn't return and conquer Cybertron, does BM even happen at all?  I think it would be totally cool if BM becomes a " what would have happened if Magmatron never interfered."

Just my two cents. :thumb

Sideswipe: I'm as much of a BM fan as anyone else, I love the show. But Me Grimlock is right. :)

Me Grimlock: I'm not sure how long a cycle is, but if a cycle =  1 Astrosecond, then logically speaking, a Mega-Cycle would have to equal 1000000 Astroseconds, which is a Breem (8.3 Earth minutes). Also, a click is a measure of length/distance, not time. And one click = 1km.

They say 300 years - and I'm interpreting that as Earth years until otherwise stated. The Maximal Age begins after the end of the "Great War," which is the end of the Autobot-Decepticon conflict. This is not the end of G1, because the Autobot-Decepticon war continued again in G2.

By the end of the Great War, Rodimus is leader of the Autobots (which coincides with the end of Japanese G1 re: Micromaster Hot Rod) with Springer as his second in command. Towards the end of the Great War, Springer resumes command of the Wreckers (which was initially disbanded after the Time Wars ended and reformed into the Survivors).

Who do Leo and Big Convoy turn out being?  What will their American names be?  It seems "Leo Convoy" is the leader of some sort of secret service faction of Maximals.  I think it would be cool if "Big Convoy" ends up being the beast era Prime (NOT Optimus Prime, but A Prime that succeds him and Rodimus [since the toy has a matrix])

It's "Lio" Convoy, not Leo Convoy. And it's pronounced as "Lio" like in the English word "Lion". I'm hoping that Lio Convoy and Big Convoy will remain as the same characters. I don't see a need to Anglophonicise their names, since Hasbro isn't importing and marketing the toys to an Anglophonic market.

...only that it would fly against continuity. Lio Convoy is a commander in the Maximal Galactic Patrol and Big Convoy is a ranking officer in the Maximal military. And neither of them are Autobots... in the BW era, although the Maximals hold political control over Cybertron, the Autobots and Decepticons still exist as minorities without significant political influence (that is left to the Maximal Council). They are also Micromaster-sized, as all TFs underwent the "Maximal Upgrade" after the signing of the Pax Cybertronia. The Autobots are still under the leadership of Rodimus, who retakes the mantle of leadership and forms a new generation of Wreckers in the Beast Machines era.

I've done some checking, and ts been stated that its 300 corns, cybertronian years whatever. Originally, it was earth years(it wasn't meant to have anything to do with the war we're familiar with, cause at the time transformers where a little over their heads) but becaause of all the staements that it was way too soon for all these changes, and the autobots/decepticons needed more time to end the war and such, it was decided to make it 300 cybertron years.

i always thought it was pronounced as in leo :guh

i do think the names should be changes, cause there are no convoys in the american continuity.

and the fact that the rankings of big and lio convoy are known in the japanese continuity doesn't mean they have to be the same in american continuity.

*waits for X-bob...*

I think a Convoy would be good, especially in the beast era. Why should we lose a cool name like Lio Convoy. Big Convoy.....maybe, but Lio Convoy's a great name.

also, the meaning of convoy is a little weird for a lion or a mammoth.
