9 Pages?! good lord. 5-10 years from now, I'd love to see a continuation of Beast Machines. Maybe not BW Redux but a continuation on those characters and the whole Techno Organic Cybertron. Maybe it could be 10 years later. A new Bad guy leader who gets over thrown by Megs after the first season or something. Cheetor could be the leader. Maybe he could adopt a new name with his next massive body upgrade

I think a comic would be the perfect forum for reviving the Transtech concept. It wouldn't require any effort on Hasbro's part, and a lot of the character designs were already finalized. I just think it would be really cool to see Cheetor as a leader (hopefully like Rodimus Prime w/o the suckage)...  though I'm still not sure how they planned to work Optimus Prime into the whole thing (to say nothing of Megatron). But it would make for an interesting challenge as a writer.

I sooo wondered how Optimus Prime, Starscream, Soundwave and Megatron were going to be worked into the script. Was Primal gonna just upgrade himself to Prime, Get the Matrix of leadership or was Optimus gonna be revealed as never having died in the first place?

By the end of the Great War, Rodimus is leader of the Autobots (which coincides with the end of Japanese G1 re: Micromaster Hot Rod) with Springer as his second in command. Towards the end of the Great War, Springer resumes command of the Wreckers (which was initially disbanded after the Time Wars ended and reformed into the Survivors).

 

This was all established in the BotCon USA 2001 comic (the first issue of 3H's BM era Wreckers comic)

If they undid the ending of Beast Machines, then I would have had to change my mind about Transtech. But seeing as there was no "Optimus Primal" character in Transtech that I saw, that might not have been an issue. Although I've often wondered if the basic idea behind the bio for Air Attack Optimus Primal was developed with Transtech in mind:

I thought it'd be a cool idea.... like what they should have done with Optimus Prime in G1 Season 3 IMO. Have him still "there" via the Matrix and allow the new leader to communicate with him that way. (Kind of like what Mork did with Orson, but less lame.) It would have been a great way to transfer the mantle of leadership without completely breaking from the past.

I imagine much of the plot would have centered around the original Megatron and Optimus Prime coming back. Megatron probably would haev been ressurected by the Predacons/Decepticons, and Optimus would probably come back from the Matrix.

Rodimus lost the "Prime" suffix to his name when he signed the Pax Cybertronia - which was the same time that the Autobot and Decepticon armies were disbanded, and political control of Cybertron handed over to the Maximals. I would presume that he must have also returned the Matrix as well, since he was going into effective retirement. And Maximals certainly can be Prime, such as Primal Prime. God that's a retarded name.

not trying to argue with you or something. but i'd wish to point out that:

1) Primal Prime got the matrix from Optimus, who is in another dimension than Primal's. so that matrix is not the matrix from his own time.

2) he is the prime of justice, maybe there are other primes as well (like a council?).

That would be sweet. Most people would think that its a new series. But that it was actually done by Hasbro. Though, the comic could kill the tv series if there was ever going to be one.

 

I was thinking if Transmetals Cheetor and Cybertron Scourge fused. It would probally be the badest fuse ever and cheetor taking over most of the looks, but with scourge's mindset, could deffinitly be a Hot Rod type being. And with cheetor would be so immature all time, scourges spark would deffinitly help.

 

He's form would be a cheetor with flames going up his front legs and Blot, total kick ass.
