Was Arcee less lame or more lame

Recommended Posts

Both Daniel and Arcee, I  hope to everyone they agree, are lame and should never have come on the show. Spike should have died before the movie, thus eliminating any chance of seeing that rediculous character from appearing. Arcee I hoped would have died at autobot city, but we all know how that turned out.........

Wow, your hatred for cartoon characters is astounding. :eek

While your assessment of the Japanese people's ability to speak English is generally accurate, "nee-tro" is technically a more accurate pronunciation according to its original Latin root (nitrum). I believe most other European languages also pronounce "nitro" in a similar way... English, being the phonetically ambiguity that it is, has decided to be different and pronounce the "ni" prefix like "nigh."

The Knights of Ni demand correct pronunciation! NI! NI! NI!!

Well, since English isn't really Latin anymore, or at least, no more than it's also German, French, and any number of other languages, I would tend to agree that Nee-tro sounds completely stupid.

Fine, you can be the weird guy on the street who pronounces stuff differently from everyone else.  But if you want people to understand what you're saying, you may have to fit in with established pronunciations.
