Is Optimus Prime a bully?

Recommended Posts

*Sigh.*

you DO realize the little kids don't even notice that, right? all they see is him saving the earth from the decepticons.

and besides, who would you rather have as a ruler: Megatron, who would KILL your ass, or Optimus, who wouldn't?

keep in mind one thing... Optimus' personality is NOT what you see in the cartoon. he  is SUPPOSED to be a ruler who relunctantly fights because he knows that if he doesn't, the Decepticons will enslave and kill everybody. amd guess what? that's all that the kids see. they don't do any sort of examination and see his logical falacies and his bullBlot.

Says the guy who posts in a TF "fandom" discussion board.  :wtf

ANYWHOO..... if there IS a story associated to the toys via a cartoon, the story should have morals, a consistent plot line, and a purpose.

I don't criticize the "fandom" on itself.

but I've stopped to try to find logic explanations, logic evenements, logic scenarios on TF cartoons from a while.

Yes cartoons should have morals, a consistent plot line, and a purpose, but I've never saw that in transformers.

there's always something wrong, contradictions, illogisms, because scenarists don't care about.

on that note, BW was the closest thing to a perfect show we've had.

pretty much. Everybody had REAL flaws, and real depth to them. something not seen often enough in TF shows.

of course, it's not the best show ever.... but it's better than a lot of Blot on TV from those years and to today.

But that's just it. G1 TF cartoon, along with other cartoons (especially Care Bears), and DISNEY, propagates in their cartoons that if you:

1. Are physically unattractive

2. Don't fall in line with the general consensus

3. Think independently

4. Adhere to the agreed moral standards

5. Don't worship democracy like a god

6. Don't worship the American ideals like a god

7. Don't worship the toys or any institution the show endorses

You are evil.

And everyone is right that kids are impressionable and don't ask questions, but that's the problem. We are literally letting TV shows programming our kids.

I am goign to bow out of this arguement/debate/whaetver word you wish to call it. take thats as you will.

I dont think Prime is a bully. G1 Prime was very respectful. And anyone who cant see him as a hero can kiss my skdplate

Primal didn't need to be a bully, he had Dinobot for that :)

The rest of the Primes are (except RID) much more military. He had more a commander rather then compatriot feel

About the dinobots, Prime seemed to treat them with respect to me. But they needed a place to be on there own so they didn't crush the autobots by accident. The closet was actually fairly roomy. Prime respected more then Rodimus did, the git.

sounds like the american entertainment industry is well on the way to creating a generation of perfectly obedient slaves.

Surely you don't mean that the television program nowadays follow those perogatives, kind sir? I mean, look at top notch, non-biased shows like O.C., Survivors, Desperate Housewives, and Nip/Tuck, where a person's strength of character and integrity pulls him/her through any hardship...

i guess we both agree on the TV being used as a brainwashing tool.
