Cybertron: Overrride

Yeah, I wasn't sure to get this figure or not. Cause from all the online pics, he didn't look that good.

But I was so wrong when I first transformed him! Looks bada$$. Only problem is he needs to be more stabler to stand. Its not at all bad, but something seems strange about it.

For the auto-transformation. It only makes up half of the full transformation. I don't mind it, seems even better.

Yeah, I saw Red alert about 1 month ago. But didn't get him. Didn't look as cool. Though I might get him if I see him again.

personally, I'm waiting for Sawt red alert as it's the better figure to me

Same with Leobreaker (overhaul was for my nephew)  Hot-Shot, and Crumplzone's upgrade, and Megatron

Man, the retools/repaints rock the house this time around!

Saw one at Target yesterday... didn't have any spare $$$. Blew it on 20th Prime.

Eww... I just noticed "her" face color.  GF looks way better on this one.

That brings up a question: If these are essentially the same toys, why don't they just make all of them at once and package some as Takara GF, and some as Hasbro Cybertron?  We're seeing test shots pop up now of GF toys already released.  Why complete a run for Takara, then fire up the mold again later for Hasbro?

It gets even sillier - they're not even made at the same factories, which is why (for the most part) only Cybertron test shots pop up - as the rumor is security at Hasbro's factories isn't as good.

You have a valid point, it seems like it would be more cost effective to just make them all at once at the same factory.

There's a bunch around here. Not buying any yet. I am thinking of taking a break from Ebay and buying toys locally. Then use Ebay if I buy everything (is quite possible)

I got Override a few days ago and so far I'd have to say it's probably the least impressive figure that I've bought so far.

My expectations weren't all that high in the first place so there was no disappointment involved. It could have been a way better figure if a few of the flaws were fixed and it didn't have that supid autochange gimmick.

Personally I don't have a problem getting it stand up, but floppy arms and that piece on the back that doesn't hold in place very well are kinda bothersome as is the pelvis which doesn't want to stay in place when I try to move the legs. Another thing that really gets me is the fact that the gun barrels don't point straight forward, they bend in a little too far towards each other, it just looks weird.

Red alert on the other hand, kicks all kinds of ass! He's a great figure and one well worth getting.  :thumb

:pfx

I still don't understand why they decided to make him/her an umpa-lumpa, but I got the GF one because of that face.

I'll have to say I really like the style of the bot and alt mode, it's somewhat unique.  I do see feminine elements in the mold, but only if they followed it up with a matching paint job... (kitbash anyone?)

so back to topic, I saw one at my local Target but skipped it.  I was hopping for Armorhide.
