I hate Snipers

Recommended Posts

I am fed up with eBay snipers. I have lost about 80% of the auctions that I was winning in the past month to snipers.  It seems to be getting more frequent also.

I don't understand why the people who do that just don't "buy it now" because my experience is they never get it for cheaper then the item is actually worth. They just wind up driving the price up on what could be a real steal for someone else. In other words, they usually smack the price up to the equivalent of what the item goes for in "buy it now" section in eBay stores.

I am done ranting.

Have you ever had it happen to you repeatedly?

I dun' give up on placing bids because I know it will happen.

Good for you that you saved money but I am sure you pissed off a lot of people in the process.

I am a proud sniper!  You may lose 80% of what YOU bid on but I win 90% of what I bid on.  It is the sign of the times and a must for any online auction bidder.  At least half the time I get things for next to nothing also.  I just set it for the max I would pay and if it goes past that then I look for another auction.  It is more patience in my opinion.  I just won a bunch of Star Wars figures that are out at retail for just over $1 each and the seller offered a flat rate shipping charge of $6.95 and is a reputable dealer.  The snipping alone saved me over $60 and that was only for today.

I would look in to it if I were getting out bid all the time and didn't use a snipe program.

thats why i dont use evil bay anymore to much of a hasel

I very, very rarely lose anything on eBay that I really want, and I owe it all to sniping.  :thumb
