Alt. Decepticharge....that's his actual name

Yes, I would think that they would package the piece with the instructions, rather than have it knock around in the bubble. Still, it's not like the piece is a big deal to produce. It's probably in the same mold as the reast of the yellow parts for thiss toy.

The shape is pretty distinct, I'd be very surprised if the *black* underside made such a reflection. It's not unlikely a piece that size shares a mold anyway, like Mike just said.

Nobody would have *ever* considered it'd be a token repaint from that unnoteworthy cartoon unless Nevermore had made that silly It's Walky-esque comparison pic.

Actually, no, the first time I had seen the prototype, the file name was binalthrust.jpg ... Yes, I thought it was strange, yet, there it was. The likeness of the helmet and the color choices are uncanny. And, of course, there are the puns, which not only SCREAM Thrust, but are perfectly in character for BW2 Thrust anyway.

There's no rhyme or reason to it, and the least you could do is not reply to every other person who'se set on Drag Strip and say "or BW2 Thrust, right?

I said early on that I would imagine that Hasbro would change his name, and I wouldn't be surprised if it was Drag Strip if they did. This, however, is just insane. But to claim that the toy designers had Drag Strip in mind when they most clearly did not is.. well.. dishonest.

It'd sound less like you're desparately trying to get one of your rumors to be semi-correct otherwise.

And your track record is what, zero, overall? Give me a break. All I said that he looked like Thrust, the puns are like thrust, and it's pretty obvious that Takara wanted it to be Thrust. Takara may still call him 'Bludgeon' for all I know. (And it would still somewhat fit, given his RID appearance).

I wouldn't have minded Drag Strip.. I do mind Decepticharge. It's just a dumbass name slapped on a shoddy-deco toy that's supposed to be going to an older or even adult market. It's a BAD IDEA all around.

Personally, I've accepted the toy as Thrust. I'm not demanding anyone else bend to that line of thinking... why do you get off demanding that anyone else not bend to it just because you don't like BW2?

I noticed that Nevermore has an link to end all links. he should post it here so one can say *Huh, looks a lot like nobody!*

So I guess the next Alt will be called "Autoracer" or some such lame ass crap. Colors be damned, they should just call him Rumble...

Maybe it's an elaborate scheme to get back at us by toying with us all, and the final version will be a hardtop in blue with no race deco and will be caled Rumble. All test shots and packaging materials for "Rumble" have been kept under strict lock and key, to be released as a surprise to us all, and get back at all those slacker factory workers who are constantly permitting the leaking of prototypes.

Or not. :redface

KEEPIN' THE DREAM ALIVE!!1!! :thumb

And maybe Thrust isn't being used by Hasbro because they want to save it for the upcoming Alternator jets.

...and that last post was just MikePrime seeing how many fanboys he could get to instantaneously combust on cue :thumb

yes, I thought of it yesterday when I was looking at an e-bay auction for TFs. I saw G1 Thrust there. That, and all this nonsense about some obscure BW2 character, got me to think that maybe, just maybe, we might get an Alt. jet named Thrust.
