The license plate says "DCHRG"

At least they didn't make it a fembot and call her Discharge.

Mmmmm.....not right I say...not right at all.

I thought the Alternators line was supposed to be an homage to the G1 characters but I don't recall ever seeing a character called Decepticharge

You're thinking of Takara, you know, people who have a history with transforming robots as opposed to just licensing them and making stupid decisions

Watch out....thats war-starting talk there. Some people getting mighty ornery when that is brought up. Some don't liek to see it being G1. o watch yourself...might get attacked.

Those people need to get over it, IMO. Unless they want to say that Alternators and Binaltech are two different things entirely... :roll Although this "Decepticharge" crap really does throw a wrench in the Binaltech story... unless of course Takara calls him Drag Strip, as I'm almost certain they will. Regardless, other than this one, EVERY other Alt/BT bot has been DIRECTLY tied into the G1 storyline, so the G1 haters can like it or lump it.

Until next week, when they leak proto shots of Alternators Hot Shot and Alternators X-Brawn... :redface

:roll

I completely agree.

Isn't this supposed to be primarily an adult-collector aimed line? If it is (which is the only way I have ever seen this line described), then why are they pissing off the adult collectors by choosing a stupid, nonsense name?

Hasbro has hundreds of names to choose from that would be an homage to G1 and that would make the collectors happy (most of them anyway), but to choose this idiotic name and make EVERYONE mad makes no sense whatseoever.

I realize that we can call the character whatever we want, but it just isn't the same when it comes w/ a cool, G1 homage name vs. when you have to rename it yourself.

I personally want updated versions of my G1 favorites and this obviously isn't it.

There is only english on the back of the box. I Think Hasbro did this because they were going a totally different direction with this character. He looks so close to Megatron in the face it's crazy. I think he either was meant to be Megatron's Replacement or some elite souldier but then Honda screwed their plans up by forcing them to remove the gun barrel.

Decepticon in Charge=Decepticharge

Imagine if they had made him to Megatron, that would have really been lame. I mean Grimlock and Track would have tougher than him. Scanner thing really makes matter worse. I'll call him Dragstrip until if they make an official one.

The name is lame but I'll just go by what Takara will name him. And it seems like he will come with a convertible top as well. If you look closely in the out of package pics on P. Prime's blog you'll see a piece of yellow and black plastic sitting underneath the toy. Looks a lot like a convertible top down piece.
