Alt. Decepticharge....that's his actual name

Untill further notice, I blame Nevermore for starting this nonsense. :P

Oh, get over yourself already. Binaltech/Alternators is a Takara thing, by and large, and it would make sense that they would 'cash in' on popular characters from all generations of toys. If Binalt continues, I wouldn't be surprised to see a Stepper, Minerva, Hot Shot, Cheetor, etc, at some point. :P

Thing is, Binaltech apparently isn't selling too well...

mabie thats becuse of $50 toys that chip and are top hevy?

I wonder how much of the BT sales are due to us...

Anyway, that name is ROFFLE bad. No gun... lame decals... unrecognizable character... yup it's a shelfwarmer. Eh, who cares - I wasn't gonna buy him anyway.

P.S. Ten to one Takara calls him Thrust.

No no no, clearly *this* is the real box image! What other past TF character would he have been?!

Thanks for posting this again. Some one said it but I didn't realize he does have what looks like a posible convertible top under him. I dont care what they call him, I'm getting the Alt version for two reasons. It'll be here faster and this mold to me isn't worth the extra $25-$35. I was kinda pissed I paid $28 to Action-Hq for Windcharger instead of just waiting. He looks different, has a sheild and has an optional long barrel but his articulation(and ankles) are just as lame as the Vipers. If not lamer.

Does anyone else see the name "Depthcharge" when they just glance over "Decepticharge"?

Maybe it's just me?

I seriously doubt the "Convertible" top issue.

1.) That is obviously a hard top... and it's a racing version. How many convertible race cars do you see on the tracks anywhere?

2.) If it came with a "top down" piece, wouldn't it be photographed somewhere on the box back, probably installed on the car?

3.) If I'm not mistaken, Windcharger's "top down" piece was under the cardboard insert in package, with the instructions. Why would they put it under the car in this one?

I'm thinking this is just a reflection on the plastic in the photo.

Part of me wants to call Photoshop, but it would have to be a damn good job, and it does come from P Prime, who is known for being reliable. So I'm not sure what to think at this point...

I was hoping they would at least change the riddiculous decos on the side of the car to something real. Oh well...

Nobody would have *ever* considered it'd be a token repaint from that unnoteworthy cartoon unless Nevermore had made that silly It's Walky-esque comparison pic. There's no rhyme or reason to it, and the least you could do is not reply to every other person who'se set on Drag Strip and say "or BW2 Thrust, right? It could be him, right? Right?!" Of course you 'wouldn't be surprised' to see such nonsense. It'd sound less like you're desparately trying to get one of your rumors to be semi-correct otherwise.

That piece under the car could be a "top down" accessory, like Windcharger has. It's the right shape and, like Windcharger's, is molded in the body color and then painted black in top. They might have just added it for the hell of it. The roof can be removed anyway, so why let people pretend it's a convertible.

Well I can clearly see the convertible top pointed out in my picture, also the shape is recognizable so I wouldn't doubt that's there. Also Windcharger was packaged with the top down piece on and the hard top underneath the bubble which is opposite to how Decepticharge is packaged. Then again the end product could change. At first we saw Windcharger packaged with the hard top on and the small piece packaged somewhere. This version I believe was the first in box pics we saw of it and were just a dealer sample. My point is this could just be a dealer sample of Decepticharge and the convertible down top could be removed in the final version. Also the liscence plate could change just like "BTLRVG" changed to just "RVG" in the final version. But I'm pretty sure they wouldn't change the name on the package which is a shame. We'll have to wait and see.
