i guess its just the satisfaction of sowhat if you have a hasbro (insert name here) but i have a japanese one thats worth more kind of mentality is why i like takara. im glad hasbro has toys available for the first time in our markets like TFU nemesis prime. and for 19.99? what a deal! but after getting this fig i want big convoy just so i can have a variation of the fig! hasbro makes great openers and takara makes good stuff to keep misb! i enjoy the stuff we get but i prefer stuff we dont get in our markets :thumb but its not about what you want its all about what you've got. my friend has 4 binaltech and swears they are better (btw all of his are misb). im not going to deny it they are... but i have the bt-01 that he has and he doesnt have all 7 alternators that i got, and i have all of them transformed n displayed :tflaugh

I heard that Takara desinged most the molds in SL and Galaxyforce while Hasbro desinged armada molds, is that true?

I just think that since Takara are the ones who actually make the mold, their prices are somewhat "justitfied"

But Hasbro also does a good portion of the design and mold.

Archer used to do the designs on paper. Takara actually sculpted worked out the molds and the mechanics.

Its usually very obvious when Takara works on a mold more though, it usually has more articulation and more details.

Not that free. Got to be able to buy at least $2,000 and charge it to a credit card. :tfevil

I am mainly interested in G1 stuff, reissues in particular. The Takara reissues are closer to the originals, chrome and missile wise, at least. Plus, they are reissuing more charachters. Therefore, I voted Takara. Not that the vote mattered much, anyway, but I learned my lesson by not voting (for Kerry) last week. Regardless, I still go with Hasbro's Alternators, for price and availability reasons. I want some BT's, just haven't gotten any yet. I may snag a Yellow Tracks or a Red Meister. In the end, I consider them as extensions of the same company. Both make Transformers, so both are cool in my book.
