Yeah well gas is about 2 bucks but I gotta pay for it if I want gas, thats just the way the market is. There are PowerRander zords the same size as Omega and Unicron that cost just as much and are total bricks that just make sound so thats where I was making the comparison of quality.

And if you dont have the cash for it, dont buy it. Its really that simple and that another reason why I dont understand the gripes about repaints. Dont like it or cant afford it, dont buy it!

money makes the world go round..... and besides takara may be a bit more expensive, but it sure does make my collection look a hell of a alot better :P

Well I dont agree.

I think 50 bucks is a perfectly reasonable price for a figure which is sculpted very well, articulated very well, transforms and interacts with other figures from the line and is one of the biggest figures of its kind on the market with exceptional quality to top it off.

not everyone has that much "disposable income" and even if i did, i would like to think that i were frugal enough to smell a screw job when i see it... $50 for a metal toy that is way to easy to damage/chip is way too much. Those things should retail for no more than $29.00, import costs aside. There is no way it is worth twice what an ALt (which doesn't chip/break so easily) is worth.

:pfx

$50 for a die-cast toy? Puhleeze. Y'all are getting shafted, but the K-Y jelly of BT lust has blinded you to teh truth.

(Dig teh cool metaphor! :thumb)

boy you are really dumb you put a bt breaks easier :roll ya that's common sense to the max, plastic is harder then metal...

besides people buy both anyway why bother arguing your not gonna change anyones mind.

Hasbro because:

A) Price, always a factor unless your rich

B) Easier to go to a store than wait months for it to ship

C) Shipping standard prices are a Starscream

D) I only get figures I can see the character on the show (with the exception of BM) and almost every figure that I would want that is on the show I can get from Hasbro

E) Until Armada never heard of Takara, maybe it was RiD but it didn't stick with me until Armada and that was because of something to do with Ahotshot's arms or something.

F) Never had a problem with Hasbro figures unless I really wanted to go REAL rough on them but hell any figure will be that way.

Takara's figs are more show acc(with the exeption of a few esuperlink fugures Im looking at you Roadbuster). Thay have been that way ever scence Fort. Max.

That doesn't matter to me, never will. I love the original BM Primal figure, he is about as far from show accurate as you can get. As long as I can tell who they are and I like the mold and colors I will get them.

Hasbro because:

1. Energon Megatron's darker colors are so much color than SL Galvatrons

2. I hate waiting for stuff shipping

Hasbro. Fits my high school budget. And since the Alts are plastic, they're easier to customize (considering molding a body kit for Meister...). Plus, everything will be reissued/redeco'd at some point, where as with Takara, it's usually gone after a few years.

:tflaugh honestly, i can agree with the whole selling the alternators line and masterpiece optimus to kids as well as collectors, but i disagree that hasbro is better than takara. if it weren't for takara, we pretty much wouldn't have the transformers at all. does microman and diaclone ring a bell? as many of you know, those were the two toy lines that created the first series of G1 toys. but i do think that energon megatron(galvatron) should be bigger, just a tad bit. i think that some of the supposed "fans" here are a little too infuenced by the american version of the transformers that they fail to see certain things. well, i'm out. later. :tflaugh

Takara may have first designed the original toys, but it was Hasbro that truly made the line. Diaclone never really made much of an impact on the Japanese market, but Hasbro had Marvel create names, stories, and characters which made much of what Transformers is today. Hasbro had the cartoon made, and did much of the work for Takara in establishing the line's identity.

It is not so much which came first, it was who made them popular. In this case, without Hasbro, Transformers (as we know it) would not exist.

You too seem to "fail to see certain things"
