First looks at Transformers Prime Starscream Action Figure!

Recommended Posts

To me, appearance is worth more than how Starscream acts. Movie Starscream is butt-ugly. He's only designed the way he is so that he wouldn't be too tall. Now that's just silly.

hehe, not trying to fan the flames here or anything, but has anyone seen that hilarious picture of Starscream as the kite? Good times, good times...

Anyway... I guess we're stuck with what we're stuck with until we get a reboot or something, so I guess we're just going to have to make the best of it for the time being. :shrug

I think your just over analyzing to justify something...

Erm... me or Atmo?

Atmo, he is getting all mad and crazy over movie Starscream. Like David Willis, the guy who has a shrine to hot shot

Okay - so, I'm not a fan of TF:Prime, because I think the stories are a whole lot of nothing and there is like 10 extra doses of GRAVITAS per episode to take up time instead of writing story (especially whenever Prime says ANYTHING), but I think this Starscream looks fun to play with. I feel that way about all Starscreams except the movie ones, and I especially enjoy playing with the Animated iteration and his buddies. This Prime Starscream looks like a cross between Animated Starscream and Animated Swoop.

As for the movie SS, if they had just based the Earth mode SS's on on the original protoform/preview figure that came out in 2007, he could have been a great character/toy/characterization as well. But we got gorilla/bird instead.

Exactly.

And yes, this toy may be the best Starscream toy we've ever gotten. Comparable only to maybe MP03

Not sure if I should really post and get drawn into this but...I just like the Prime toy so much I gotta ^^"

Yeah, Prime: Starscream isn't half bad, I'd have to see more of his personality come out before I'd say any better of him, but design wise, though a little feeble looking, he's not a bad incarnation of the Screamer we know and love.

Now...Movie Starscream, this I might just regret, but, while I'm not particularly fond of the design, I will say that a different head sculpt would do wonders for the guy, the movie head is what is the distinguishing point of a bot to me, and a new design with an actual mouth able to smirk and emote would be much better. Key example of this is my friend who was not a major TF fan, nor did he know anything of the movie designs, when Prime first showed up he asked me "Who's the truck guy?" then as soon as the bot head came out he replied, "Oh, that's gotta be Optimus right?".

Movie Prime looks like Prime, he can be identified right off the bat, you see Movie Screamer, and it doesn't have any familiarities in the design, am I saying it's a terrible design? No. Am I saying it's not best suited for Starscream? Yes.

*Gets behind fire resistant riot shield* Please don't kill me >_<

hard to kill someone who's being reasonable, dude

yes, but not Starscream-awesome. There's a difference. All they needed to do was change his name and there would've been no conflict.

John you make a lot of sense their, but I don't think Lord Atmo will listen. even though he is in the minority about movie Starscream

and Lord Atmo, there is no conflict. Movie Starscream is Starscream. Like movie Ironhide is Ironhide

I heart this thread.

I can't watch this topic anymore. It's 4 pages of Lord Atmo going "No. Uh uh." and everyone else going "Yeah, but". Lather, rinse, repeat, snooze.

I guess you either love it or you hate it :rofl

The thread alone is a perfect representation of Starscream and fans :tflaugh
