Transformers: The Religion

Recommended Posts

It's national census time again, and I've decided to record "Transformers" as my religion. I encourage everyone else to consider doing likewise.

You can also join/support this movement on Facebook.

Thank you, and Primus bless. :)

P.S.: Feel free to pass this along other TF forums/communities. Preach it!

Lol might just take the initiative..

Unicron Devour..

No. This is a stupid idea. Please don't drag Transformers down to the level of Star Wars fandom.

Since you have the Jedi what would they be called in Transformers?

Yeah the Church of Primus Sounds Like a Grand Idea. Yeah sure... Ok look Toys we buy and Religion should not be connected in any way. How does that saying go " Want to start a quick fight Bring up Religion or Politics." That And most Catholics and Christians would find something like that sacrilegious. The whole False Gods thing in the bible and such. So I say Not really worth the trouble. Also you do realize that the census is a Federal Form that must be answered truthfully right? Do you really want to screw around with the Federal Government.

To coin my Grandfather " DANG IDJITS "

I believe that transformers exist in an alternate universe and that our cartoons are the windows into that universe. That's one of my beliefs, and how dare you call that NOT my religion! It's the facet of my religion that I will put down on the census.

By the way, I'm also Catholic and I have no issue with this at all. I find it hilarious.

I'd appreciate it if you didn't refer to my religious beliefs as "stupid."

Fortunately for me Australia is a secular state and our constitution guarantees religious freedom. Woot! That and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights which states:

"Everyone is entitled to all the rights and freedoms set forth in this Declaration, without distinction of any kind, such as race, colour, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status."

"Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion; this right includes freedom to change his religion or belief, and freedom, either alone or in community with others and in public or private, to manifest his religion or belief in teaching, practice, worship and observance."

You don't have to join this religious movement... but at the same time you don't need to persecute it either.

And as our personal saviour, Optimus Prime, always taught us, "Freedom is the right of all sentient beings."

Indeed. After all, science cannot conclusively prove that Primus, Cybertron and the Transformers don't actually exist. ;)

S'cool. Transformers: The Religion is an inclusive faith (much like Buddhism). You can still believe in other religions and believe in ours at the same time.

Errmm... except for the Gobot Faith. That's non-compatible, sorry.

As an atheist, my views are that religion is a farce. Not that they are bad or that anyone is bad or dumb for believing in them. I think everyone has a right to do whatever the hell they want so long as its not at the cost of others. What I dont like are the people who need to convert others or blow people up because of it. I support this TF religion, go for it! :thumb

I do not however, like Scientology. Its brainwashing pure and simple. And creepy. Scientologists go away. I aint paying you a percentage of my yearly earnings!

And instead of Church of Primus can we have Unicronism?

I, on the other hand, do have an issue with the idea. Mainly that declaring your love for the fandom as a religious belief is going to give others the notion that you take your love for the franchise way too seriously and that you are at the very least bordering on fringe psychosis. And I can't say I can find reason to say they would be wrong.
