Once Bay has finished raping the still-warm corpse of this franchise...

Wouldn't the choice of calling the franchise a corpse imply you think that Transformers was dead prior to Michael Bay's involvement with it?

Though I can't really speak for Giant Robot, I think the implication is that it was reasonably alive for the first movie, died in the second, and will continue to be dead for the 3rd.

Or at least that's how I interpreted the logic anyway. :shrug

Let me know if you get a response. I've been doing the same thing for months and haven't gotten them to respond.

Not trying to sound like an ass, but why would Paramount respond to unknowns, regarding a reboot script of a successful film franchise while it's just 2 movies in? I mean seriously, do you actually think they will read your scripts and say, "holy crap, forget the 800 or so million each movie made, we've got it all wrong, this is how we should make the movie!" Seriously, the movies are a success. Are they perfect? Not at all, but they are successful and remember in Hollywood, money talks and bullsh*t walks.

These movies have been making money hand over fist, and it isn't the Transformers fans who are driving the movie sales, its everyone else who looks forward to seeing blockbuster action packed movies.

I know I'm not responding to a particular post, and that I'm addressing many of them all at once, but here are my two cents.

What I would like from a TF movie (why expect if I'm only going to get disapointed) is: more robot time on-screen, less human time on-screen, change crude jokes (sure, they make people laugh, but they are offensive to the mind) for other type of jokes (people will still laugh, and maybe they'll come up some memorable joke), less details on the robots (I don't want to see every last cog, nut and screw on a gigantic robot), more Starscream trying to stab Megatrons back every chance he has, I understand they won't use the G1 vehicles, but at least keep the color schemes (it couldn't have been that hard to make Jazz white, Ironhide and Sideswipe red, and so on). And from any movie, I would like decent acting, specially when they spend so much money on the movie, I really don't care if they get Oscars or not, because those critics and judges don't have the same likes as I do, I mean, if I had a say, Johnny Deep would have a couple of those statues.

When the first movie came out, I was so exited, and even though I didn't like the design for the robot forms all that much I was glad to get a movie (I figured that would be a boost to the franchise, and maybe thanks to that we got TFA and are getting WFC), but when I went to the toy store, I just couldn't make myself spend money on the toys (I do admit I really like the Sideswipe toy) even though I was a bit TF deprived, the classics line didn't go to where I was living at the time (glad to be in the US now).

I do hope that WFC turns into a great hit, so it can maybe open the way to things likea CG movie based on it (by the way, I did love the TMNT CG movie) and more.

I understand that some old fans and new fans love MB's TFs, but maybe all that is needed is someone to come up with better looking robots and a better story (should't be to hard) for a movie. I believe that might happen with the Spider-Man Franchise... McGuire wasn't bad, but maybe someone else could have been a better Peter, and I did hate that he didn't quip like in the comics and the cartoons (They did ace J.J. Jameson, Sandman and Green Goblin).
