I agree ROTF Prime is pretty good. I actually liked most of the leader class ROTF figures. That's really about it.

 

 

The sale is 'ok' - it's the equivalent of 25% off (but saying 50% and making you buy more than you want is better for them). It's better than none - but it's a common sale. Target has 30% off sales routinely as well. That's when I got most of my ROTF leaders. I had actually purchased a ton more - but I ended up sending them back and decided not to collecte the ROTF figures after they screwed things up so bad with the toys. (motorcycles; not releasing all the constructicons; the piece of chit called devestator; etc - they killed/cured the completist in me on this line and my wallet thanks them).

I was tempted to get the Hoist/Mixmaster set and pair it with a GIJoe Night Raven (they said I could) but everything still would have been close to $50 which is alot when all I really want is Hoist.

A sale, if only there was something to buy.

So I go to Toys R Us and suddenly the #30 Transformers were $35 and all the ones on Clearance were $10 more then what their price was originally. Deluxes were now $13, they jacked up the price on all of them. The Bumblebee Soundwave 2 pack was $30.

 

I had to walk out, thats pathetic jacking up the price then doing the $50 off

They raised the prices?

I didn't go yesterday, didn't have a reason to leave the house, today that I'm going out I might go, but if they did that, it might not be even worth it.

That might just be the one here in Killeen Texas. And like everyone else is saying, its all the same stuff. Darkwind was on clearance for $20 and was back up to $35. The Gathering at the Nemesis was back up to $50. I was planning on getting Darkwind and Perceptor. but not after seeing that, I'll still wait for it to go down in price on eBay.

 

The TRU here has always been bad. The only thing I have bought there was the Arcee for my daughter and Back Road Brawl Hoist, and Mixmaster. Other then those I have gotten the TRU exclusives on eBay for less then what TRU charges

I went today, but really did not see much of anything... it was all the last wave of ROTF, like 3 Animated, and some leftover Universe Ultras.

The problem right now is that, no matter how good a TRU is, there is almost nothing to buy.

yeah, they have plenty of over priced exclusive sets (I know Arcee...) and are waves behind on pretty much everything else.

 

I rarely ever use TRU anymore, Target and Walmart just seem to have the newer figures both quicker and cheaper.
