Energon Skyblast is my Skyfire, the alt is pretty close.

Looking at Jetfire, he's been everything from a Macross ship, to a space shuttle. So I don't know, I'm persomaly at the point where it doesn't mean that much to me.

Concerning Classics Jetfire, I do keep the wings down in a G1 toy style. Oddly enough, I keep the wings deployed on my G1 figure, it adds to the jetpack look.

First: Hasbro would never put effort into making a new line of Go-Bots toys, even if they were small toys. I would buy them if they looked good.

:tflaugh this is funny, you start off sounding like you hate them, and Hasbro wont ever do this, then you change the subject and say you will buy them if they looked good. :tfevil

Second: If Hasbro was willing to make brand new Go-Bots, then they should not make new Go-Bots and instead make new Transformers.

The whole point of them to make new molds for the GOBOTS characters to rehash those characters. :roll They can make transformers too. I mean they make TF disney, TF Starwars, TF marvel, TF music, TF "device's" (granted some of these are made by Takara, b ut you get the point

Third: Classics Jetfire was a long overdue homage to the cartoon's Skyfire character, with the name and armored helmet added to satisfy fanboys. I will never get so many fans are crazy about the original Jetfire toy. If you want a new G1 Jetfire, just buy one of those new Macross toys from Japan.

YUP! The transforming revoltech valkries! Look nice actually (although i probably wont ever have the EXTRA money to get one since TFs Starwars GIjoe, and all else superhero + comics keeps me busy). Check em out if you dont know Reluttr knows the link! ;)

MikePrime rules! Always got something to say :lol

THEY EVEN MAKE TRANSFORMERS SHOES FOR ***** SAKE!!!! (sorry im tryin to be christian :D)

I absolutely do NOT want to see Go-Bots, but one thing Go-Bots had was a good variety of alt modes that I would like to see Transformers adapt.

We have plenty of sports cars and jet planes... something else. Something unique. Something different!

That's why I jumped on Ejector when I saw him! He's not a terribly good Transformer, but he's a TOASTER! How many other Toaster Transformers have there been? (aside from Blaster's sister, who never had a toy)

Go-Bots had alt modes like realistic submarine (TFs only has ONE in the form of a Mini-Con), WWII vehicles (that's why I really love ROTF Ransack :D), limousine etc. Two alt modes I would really love to see in Transformers would be a bus and a taxi. I've heard there's a taxi mini-con or Legends class toy coming out, but I don't think Hasbro Australia will be distributing it here. :( :(

I think the Taxi is part of a K-Mart exclusive set, don't quote me though.

And hell yeah, Go-Bots had anything and everything in the form of alts. In the Minibot scale, the actualy did better then Transformers. Transformers though just did it better though, better marketing, diversity in sizes, much better show. After all, who the hell would wanna watch this,

when you could watch this,

seriously!?!

as I stated earlier, there's to much on the TF plate to get to before Go-Bots. However if they wanted to keep working them into existing lines like they did with Fracture(Crasher), I wouldn't mind especialy if they played it up.

One thing though, I always though the Go-Bot homeworld looked pretty cool, also, even with the crappy art, they did do some cool things in the show, like when they were rebuilding the planet but the supply ships were attacked and sheet metal rained down on everyone. It was cool watching them all get killed.

Just because I don't think Hasbro should waste time and energy on Go-Bots when they could make new Universe toys doesn't mean I wouldn't buy Go-Bots if Hasbro made them.

Oh, and the Japanese made Transformers shoes as a short-lived novelty item among novelty items, the same now goes for the Disney Transformers. Star Wars and Marvel Transformers are not made by the same designers that make regular Transformers.

The monster gestalt was nifty, but those combining "suits" were lame as. Also keep in mind that fan collectors represent a minority niche demographic of TF toy consumers. The majority are still children (and their parents). Your average kid wouldn't know what the Challenge of the Gobots was, let alone demand new updated toys of them. This is why previous TF Gobots (not to be confused with actual Gobot Transformers!) have all been limited exclusive repaints (i.e.: e-Hobby, BotCon/OTFCC). The demand simply doesn't exist to justify the cost of R&Ding whole new moulds and mass production for the general market. TF lines like Sport Label are also a limited production. They're part of what Takara(TOMY) call "high end collectibles" which specifically target the collector market and are thus produced in more limited numbers (other examples include reissues, Binaltech, KISS Play, Music Label etc.); these toys are not produced in the same massive quantities that HasTak do with their 'mainstream' TF lines like Universe, Henkei, Animated, RotF etc. that are marketed at children.

P.S.: I think John 14:6's idea of incorporating Gobots as part of mainstream TF line like Universe might work. Reminds me of Snowcat from Energon; his alt mode is actually based on a vehicle from G.I. Joe! :D (hence I took the toy with me when I watched Rise of Cobra in the cinema ;))

On the note of the average collector, if just worked in to an existing line like say Crasher was, I don't think the kid vs collector demographic would really matter.

Take the new scouts, and all the past filler bots. Kids and collectors didn't know them, but they still sold. I don't think a subline would sell, but the ocassional homage would do just fine.

Well they spent all that money on the rights to the brand. Its like buying the Beatles back catalogue and not recording a Beatles song yourself.

They didn't actually spend all that money just to get GoBots.

They spent the money to get Tonka, GoBots was just a bonus. Hasbro, AFAIK, is still releasing Tonka branded products, so they're getting their money's worth.

Not to mention, they have earned some money off the GoBots name, with the GoBots figure http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Gobots_(G2), and the GoBots sub-line http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Go-Bot_(G2)...oh, and these guys. http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Go-Bots_(toyline)

I know, I was being all vague'n'stuffs. I have a couple of those kiddie-gobots and they aint bad, they aint good either but..

Anys all the great designs could EASILY be updated a'la Classix/Universe and released as a sub-line.
