Yeah there is worse than ROTF: I just watched a made for TV movie that somehow made it to the theaters. It was called X-men Origins: Wolverine.

I almost made a post defending Herbie, then I realized you meant the crappy remake they made, not the original series. Never mind... Yep, that was BAD.

Actually, Herbie Goes Bananas is in the original series. Clearly meant just for kids and not for the whole family, it was rather intolerable when I got it from Netflix last week. Removing the "friends" song used at least 20 times in the movie would have helped tremendously. The new one, while nowhere as fun as the original, was still decent.

Nope I can't agree...X-men Origins: Wolverine was much worse than ANY Herbie movie old or new. At least with the Herbie movies, you knew what to expect. Wolverine?!? I'm sorry but yes, regardless how quickly Television programing has been able to compete with extravagant visual effects huge film budgets and endless supply of of ILM, you as a film maker must still have productions that are far better than the quality of Television. Wolverine was so bad it made Heroes 2nd season look like an epic (2nd season of Heroes was notably the worst season ever in Heroes long running series). There I said it!

Yes Wolverine was worse, but then I knew it would be crap as soon as it was announced. A movie based on the most uninteresting, overused, overhyped of the X-Men? How could that not stink? I'd rather have seen Scott deal with his developing optic blasts (or track down his long-lost brother), or learn why Magneto feels dominating humans is key to mutant survival, or watch Prof. X battle the alien who crippled him, or see Kitty meet up with a certain alien dragon. There's so much potential in the X-Men, wasting another movie on Wolverine is just a huge shame. Effects don't even come into the equation for me - it's the decision to continue to focus on Hack-n-Slash when there's much better characters to be explored.

Oh, and the gratuitous, what-the-heck? insertion of characters that made no sense didn't help.

What about Batman and Robin? Y'know, the one where George Cloony plays Batman and has nipples on the suit. Kinda creepy.

Well, like much of what is wrong with the Transformers movies, those nipples were a choice that was made by the director. And, while horrible in its own right, Batman and Robin was deliberately made to be campy. In that sense, it is not worse than ROTF. The Transformers movies are made with great hypocrisy on the part of director Michael Bay and producer Lorenzo DiBonaventura. Both speak poorly of the original cartoon, but end up making two movies that are no better, and sometimes even worse than the old cartoon.
