Naw they're just lazy. They wanted to "keep it simple" and make the toy look like shit instead of making it WORTH the hundred. They also said they thought they could get away with it because you cant really see Overload in the torso anywhere.

 

fuckers are just cheap and lazy. If he had 7 in the movie, then the toy should have 7. None of this "keep it simple" bullshit. The price is bloated enough as it is. Including overload would've kept the price about the same and probably made Scavenger smaller too. And shit, why not actually give the vehicles some features too? Rampage could've had a hinged plow, Scrapper an articulated scoop, Long Haul's bed couldve lifted, and Hightower could easily have had some sort of thread that you could "crank up" in the back.

 

As for the incomplete set of them, Scrapper was definitely needed. And really a Hightower would've been neat too. We get so many made-up scout class figures and yet they wont even make any effort for Hightower and Overload.

 

And how about that nameless one who got killed for Megatron parts? The one who turned into a Volvo excavator. I believe he was short and yellow. Would'nt mind seeing a toy of him either.

He turned into a Volvo excavator but his bot mode was exactly the same as Scrapper's.

Alright, I joined Blackbird in writing to Hasbro this morning concerning the completion (or rather their incompletion) of Constructicons & wrote words of encouragement to start with a Scrapper figure. I also mentioned ALL the others that we're still missing (Hightower, Overload, Reedman, microcons, Decepti-chick, and yes, even the volvo excavator!), and how disappointed I was with all the SDCC non-movie garbage (except I didn't use 'garbage'...I cleaned it up a bit)! ;)

 

Will this help? Probably not...we all know how Hasbro & their design team reacts to fan requests/criticism. However, I still encourage everyone else to take a few minutes & write to Hasbro...voice your disappointment in this decision! Who knows...if they're bombarded by requests, maybe they'll cave to at least a Scrapper figure. We'll never know if we don't try. :shrug

 

Oh, also...I made sure to attach one of the Scrapper concept renderings, just to remind them that this had been released & WE were expecting him! ;)

But it still doesn't hurt to try, not to steal a great line from a great man but, "I have a dream" where hasbro will give a fuck about their toy lines and do something intelligent for once.

It won't matter. How many times were they asked about Animated Constructicons and how many times did they reply, "We have no immediate plans at this time, maybe later" BS? The answer is a lot.
