contructicons - not going to release them all???

Recommended Posts

First off when Hasbro sayes "we have no current plans at this moment" it means go F___ YOURSELF!!!

Second, I called this months ago. Not looking for "I told you so" I'm just saying I got them down pretty pat.

Third, if they're only catching on now with a canceled Animated line that it makes sense to release all 3 Seekers, are you realy suprised that they'd drop the ball on this!?! I mean it only took 25 years for them to figure that one out...

Forth, who wants to bet that the SDCC figures shown where planned for a follow up or new series that got abandoned because of the upcoming Hasbro/Discovery venture so they figured just slap movie on the box.

Fifth who wants to bet that all the bios for the unseen new figures will read "they like being left alone but cant resist screwing with everyone which in turn screws with everyone else"

Sixth recall second when all this plays out...

Actually they didn't complete the seekers for Animated. SS, Warp and TC are the classic three but in Animated they are all pretty much on equal footing, nothing to separate the others as coneheads (at least not until Ramjet got his helmet). But yeah all of them have gotten or are getting a release with the exception of Ramjet and Slipstream. It just seems odd to release the ones at voyager who had little screen time. We saw TC and Warp at the beginning of Season 3 and then never again, whereas we saw Ramjet alongside Sunstorm PLENTY of times.

I still think the potential to release toys for these guys would be ideal for the universe line. It's not like it's bound to updating G1 or anything. I'd love to see some Animated Constructicons, ANY physical representation for Animated Omega Supreme, Ramjet, Brawn, Red Alert, Hot Shot, Cyclonus, Strika, Spittor, Cyb mode Prowl/Oil Slick, Warpath, etc. The potential there is endless. Likewise with the movie you got Scrapper, Overload, Hightower, Reedman, the Microcons, etc.

Does anyone else think that a Bakugan-ish version of the Microcons would be awesome?

Yes, I've gotta say that it is a little surprising to me...for the primary reason that Animated was quickly axed, as well as the Universe line, to pave way for the premiere of ROTF and it's toys in all their glory. Don't get me wrong, I figured they would release a few non-movie figures in the first wave this time around...and they did. But with the shear volume of characters in ROTF, I thought that we wouldn't see a domination of non-movie figures in this line for at least a good year to year-and-a-half...there were enough characters in this movie to make that happen, right?! :shrug Well apparently, such is not the case.

While I did NOT expect that they [Hasbro] would release ALL of the ROTF characters, I did think they would at the least release the characters that actually made screen time...that would include Scrapper, and either the microcons or Reedman (one or the other, probably not both), and perhaps even some version of the Decepti-species-alien-bitch! I knew they probably wouldn't produce the protoforms, either the little ones that were with the Fallen or the ones that landed on earth to fight...for the simple reason of them ONLY serving as either background or cannon fodder. And I honestly didn't even expect a single one of the kitchen appliances to be created into a figure, as this was simply an effect of dropping a shard of the all-spark...but we got a toaster-con...

We got a freakin' toaster and a bunch of non-movie garbage, but we can't get the remaining Constructicons?! You f'n HACKS! :argh

*getting a glass of water & calming down...perhaps I can find a pill to go with that?*

Hasbro's skills at pleasing the existing fan base is about as good as Cartoon Network's, then. It's weird that two companies that think so alike would split up...

oops, sorry...hit the wrong button! :redface

Q: With the release of 3 of the individually transformable Constructicons and Long Haul coming out next, will we see the remaining Constructicons (e.g., Scrapper, Hightower) released?

Hasbro: Unfortunately, there are no plans at this time to release any additional Constucticons past those that we have currently announced.

I bet they start plans to produce them in the near future...

I would hope so...but in the past, they've released similar statements which usually result in no product being made.

I dont think a bunch of old dudes not buying Devs is gonna hurt Hasbro's wallet. I think an under-engineered overpriced supreme class toy thats warming shelves will.

I went to Target yesterday that previously had two or three Devastators there. To my horror, they were sold out!!! I wasn't horrified because I was planning on buying one, I was horrified because that means other people are. What if it becomes more popular than leader Prime or the HA toys??? :eek

Well, look at it this way...there are only 2 or 3 of these massive hunkers on a shelf at a time (at least in Target stores), so... :shrug I'm wondering if due to the size of this figure, Hasbro is even having the normal number of figures produced?

Between the two walmarts, two targets and a toysrus that carry Devs. They started with a total of 11 and one target has none now on shelf and the other stores have every one that they started with (trust me I marked the boxes for a research Project formy incoming school year)

As to them not making at least scrapper, yes I am pissed because I loved them in the movie (Not just as devs). I honestly think that if they are not willing to make the whole team then they shouldn't make any. I don't know what makes me angrier as a collector or as a fan: Uncompleted Teams/units or seeing one of my favorite figures getting discrased with a not up to par figure (supreme devs). I've never done any type of customizing in my life but I sure as hell am going to try on him.

I've written hasbro about not completing the set and I hope others do. You never know. We just might make a difference, and if not it can't hurt to try. I want some better vehicle modes than the damn Supreme devs and I would like all SEVEN, not six. Fuckers don't even know how to count.

... No more Mountain Dew and Playing with toys...

... Sits in corner...

^ So right...there's absolutely nothing to lose in trying! I think I'll join you...
