first off 2 for 2 on human figures ho have a look like they just scorched their shorts.

 

The figure is real nice, IF I get it I think I'd leave it sealed as the Deluxe is enough for shelf life. I wish the shoulder joints where more extended and the back kibble was less, but it's still a very intresting figure.

Can't imagine anyone keeping the battlemask off. Maybe if your playing and the got hit in the face with a cleaver...

 

Still for the pros and cons it is a very intresting figure. Still haven't gotten a BB yet, but I am intrested in these HA figures as they are an obvious lead in to Transformers/GIJoe. Hopefuly if they do make that crossover the Joes wont be shrunk, but the hope does make this subline worth supporting

He's not as great as Bumblebee but I think he's got potential. Damn that backpack kibble but hey there's been worse.

Well I'm really liking the deluxe sideswipe i have now and I'm really interested in other incarnations of the figure/character. It's very rare that I like a character or mold to a point where I will hunt down all the size versions but the car and bot mode sold me. So out of the 2 (that I have yet to ever see thanks to scalpers) I plan on getting sideswipe. The back pack issue I see as a cool challenge...a puzzle to be solved once I get him in hand. But I'm sure peaugh and others will discover more effective ways to collapse that part before I get around to buying the toy. I'm thinking to start I would not rotate the rear window piece and leave it as is. Also if you re watch side swipe in the china scene you will notice that his kibble in bot mode is huge! But somehow the kibble plays a roll in keeping him balanced as he is skating around in bot mode. The sides and doors move out in order for him to do quick things like dead center spins and move quickly around corners. Notice when he goes for a dead stop in front of sideways the whole front hood and door assembly flares out from his back.

 

The other thing that sells it for me is that the interior of the car is very beliveable over BB bright yellow plastic. I really like where the seats end up in bot mode on sideswipe as oppose to BB's arm chairs (?that dont seem to fold down?). Spinning blade feature is cool and so is the ability to inside his head. I'm looking forward to this figure.

wish he'd do one more post showing off the shoulder weapons, how they store and what not. I love these reviews, but this one seems rushed.

Except for the battlemask and the movable fingers, this has little over the Dlx in my opinion. The backpack and lower legs "ruined" it tbh, and considering it's transformation is VERY close to the Dlx, think I'll pass on this one.

I look forward to getting HA Sideswipe. I can't complain about back kibble. It's nothing new in toys that I already own.

its been a long journey with my acceptance of HA sidey.

 

at first i thought his legs looked too stumpy and the back kibble was too much, but somehow over time and seeing more and more of him, i like him.

 

have him on order at the min with leader jetfire.

 

so im sold on him now ive always loved his movie design anyway, by far prob my fave in rotf, and he deserved a much bigger role.

 

im looking forward to HA skids, barricade and mudflap now though.

 

i was trying to think what other they had to play with and i can think of jolt with major lennox (but wondered because jolt isnt anything but a background character)

i would adore it if they can do a scaled version of ironhide with him instead.

then again if they did that they could put leo spitz with jolt.

 

and for the decepticons, sideways with alice (in either mode?)
