"Endgame" Discussion Thread

If you look at animated in the context of a lead in to G1...It makes sense somewhat. Granted huge discrepencies like 4 million years before civilization in G1, to present day in animated, but this showed the creation of the matrix of leadership...formed from the remaining allspark fragments...which brings up aquestion of whether or not Prowl is in the matrix or not. Sari's role with the protoforms was introduced in the episode, yet not resolved leading me to believe another season is in the works.

After reading the thread, there were some comments about the show being for kids. Again, though the audience is for kids to a degree, unless the kids have been exposed to prior generations of cartoons, there is no way they would have got the reference to the matrix at the end...it wasn't explained, and was very obscure. The time frame is a major flaw in animated. They attempted to do a back story on Optimus in current times...But looking past that the Alspark to Matrix solution makes sense.

Omega got rebooted with the codes from Arcee, which probably wiped out the memories of his prior hesitations...That explains why he was so peppy.

I have to say as a finale episode, it needed to be at least an hour for the second half. And the 30 second transformation sequences for bumblebee, bulkhead and megs could have been used for something else...

Have to say, I was impressed with the Series. I would have loved to see more for the ending...Also would like to see another two seasons, to get some sort of resloutions...Like an animated Devastator...New Fortress Maximus, and Omega Supreme toys...

Hasbro,

ROTF ,Classics/Universe, and animated...Make them all...I'll buy them...

While I agree with the review that it did seem a bit rushed and a lot of questions were unanswered. It was nice to see Prime sorta go toe to toe w/ Megatron since the show had an incredible habit of having almost all of the autobots usually get their asses handed to them by just one or two decepticons. One thing though. Starscream was not taken down merely with a harmonic convergence or whatever the hell you calle it. He was brought back to life and kept alive by the fact he had an all spark fragment embedded in his cranium... as soon as it was removed, so was his spark... end game lol While I think Starscream deserved a better end than this... atleast it made sense.

That's what I meant. The Allspark fragment kept him going, but Jazz and Prowl's 'seance' plus SS's close proximity yanked the fragment from his head, thus ending his life. Weak.

Incredibly weak.

None, absolutely NONE, of the 'Cons was in character. Screamer and Lugs were complete caricatures of their former selves--which I would never have thought possible for Lugs. Shockwave was completely ineffectual. Megs seemed to be channelling the complete idiocy of G1 Galvatron. This episode completely no-sold the overall superiority of the Decepticons that had been built up over the course of 3 seasons worth of episodes--not to mention the reputed power the Omega Supreme clones should have brought to bear--and it's pretty disappointing. Really. We've watched any single 'Con mop the proverbial floor with a complete squad of Autobots over 3 seasons. Weak.

First, I would like to say:Hello, I'm Joe Convoy and I am *not* Megatron, no. Second, Endgame is my favorite episode. TFA will be missed. :tfsad

Fix'd this

There'd be a market for all of them straight on through the movie sales blitz

I'm thinking, couldn't the Autobots have gotten stronger? Any civilians facing militarily trained opponents had better get their act together if they wanted to survive. (ie, 'Oh yeah, I've seen that trick before.')

While it is true that the Autobots could've just gotten their act together, Bulkhed and BB taking out Shockwave just.isn't.happening.

But it is possible they've improved over time, gaining mad combat skilz and dumb luck.

i wanted to watch it on saturday but i missed it so i'll watch it on youtube today

i think that is the last episode of :animated because most of the leading decepticons are captured and their all back on Cybertron but the only disapointing thing is Prowl is dead but they could bring him back online with one of the protoforms, the last thing i'll say is i think they will hold off selling Ainmated toys and hold off the show until the movie dies down sometime next year

Not true, Prowl's spark is extinguished, and the protoforms are just shells. He dead yo.
