I agree, but we must also acknowledge the times when the movie is no better than the lowliest G1 cartoon.

Sure, but those times don't exist. The movie stands head and shoulders above even the best G1 episode on most every level - and where it doesn't surpass it, it is at least equal to it. Production value, story structure, character development, fight scenes...it's as good on every level. Which means, yes, some of it sucks when you compare it to much better movies.

 

But to call out the movie for not being as good as, say, the Godfather when it is as good or better than the cartoon show you've dedicated a lifetime of collecting to...well, that's irrational as I see it.

Animation errors, animation cheating, a mushy looking Devastator, a loose plot, not sticking to its own rules, yep, the movies are no better than G1. It's an irony that works for those who like the movies and those who hate them

The only thing that bugs me about Devestator is the naming.. seems like everyone forgot about

this guy.. who despite having a toy named "brawl" was presented by the movie as "Devestator" .. which this new movie is also passing the name on to this combiner guy.. atleast we are to assume anyway.

This thread is not about that. It's about the great disappointment of not having a proper set of movie Constructicons. There are only the $100 giant which has vehicle with no individual robot modes and deluxe class toys that have vehicle and robot modes, but aren't made to combine.

I'm sure most of the people simply refer to Brawlastator as "oh, that tank thing" rather than paying full attention to his Cybertronian utters "Devastator reporting!" during their roll call by Frenzy.

 

Oh and, it'll be as easy as explaining about two guys named John on the same room about this whole "Brawl/Devastator/Constructicon" ordeal.

Well we do have the right to voice our oppinions, and reading through this thread, everyone seems to be pretty civil. If it bothers you, don't call us out for expressing ourselves, just move along.

 

Concerning Hasbro's "laziness" sorry, but I can't help but think that if this was a Takara project that this wouldn't even be an issue. I have 25 years of TF history on my shelves that back that up.

 

if you don't want to be called out then don't post on a public forum there are blog websites available for people that can't face the truth (just saying)
