Trailbreaker is in serious need of some love.

 

Isn't he like the only one left from that group of 11 Autobot cars who's never been seriously homaged since G1?

 

(the Alt Swindle near miss doesn't count)

I still don't know why Hasbro didn't do him instead of Rollbar.

 

Not that he could have been called "Trailbreaker" with that whole Chevy tradmark thing. but a black Swindle repaint would have been cool, they could have made the Subaru a different colora and named it after an equally pointless minor character...

If you include the 2nd wave of cars, Trailbreaker and Grapple are the only guys to never get at least one update. Technically, Wheeljack was turned into Downshift. That Armada Sideswipe lookin Wheeljack dont count. Just like Armade Smokescreen and Sideswipe dont count as remakes.

Its good to see Wheeljack again as Wheeljack and not Downshift. But I dunno. I'm not feeling this design so much. Well, I suppose the original didn't give away much about him being a scientist anyway.. but this one definetly looks like he's gonna smack some cons around. Like a Robotic Mr T or something.. ...

 

No wonder I can't help but make a Barret Reference with the guy..

The original Wheeljack was totally stocky!! His voice was also much more lumberjack than it was science nerd.... :shrug

 

I think both of these guys look AMAZINGLY Geewunn akur8. As LMH has said - TFA is giving us the G1 CARTOON Characters we all remember as opposed to the G1 Cartoon as it actually was.

Wheeljack looks like Paul Sr.....I wonder if he builds Oil Slick's chopper alt mode...

But I agree vehemently with the notion Adam and Jamie should voice WJ and Perceptor!

The thing i hate about Animated (& hope they change) is the toys coming out WAAAY after the shows they represent. Hasbro, release them all simultaneously!!!

I'm guessing that these guys probably aren't intended to be the Mythbusters since when asked if Wheeljack was based on Jamie Hyman, Wyatt replied, "Who?"

 

This could be so he doesn't blatantly say it out loud, OR to leave some mystery, or look it how mr Orci says the same thing, like a riddle.
