I love Wheeljack. One of my absolute favorite characters from G1.

 

I like the design, except the face. While it's reminiscent of the G1 face, the fact that it winds up looking like he has muttonchops and a moustache bug me. I don't really care for "facial hair" on my TFs unless appropriate (it works on Mixmaster in Animated and Alpha Trion in G1). I do like how he has these four pocket sets on his hips. Must carry lots of tools in those things.

 

As for Perceptor, I think this is a first. A TF with glasses. And like so many have already said, his head makes him look a little like Mojo Jojo. But looking at the picture and going by the back and shoulder kibble he has, I'm 90% positive they're not giving him a cool mode like a microscope.

 

As for Wheeljack not inventing the Dinobots, well, maybe he'll invent Sludge and whatever they wind up calling Snarl

Whoa, I really liked Wheeljack, he has always been one of my fav transformers, totally can't wait for the toy.

 

As for Perceptor...not raelly into the brainy look (personal opinion) but he does look more like a scientist or something now, so I guess he's good.

Me likey! I wonder though, seeing as WJ's apparently got a mouth, if I'll miss the glowing face mask when he talks... I also like how Perceptor's head is so big and he looks like he's wearing glasses. Part of me is hoping he still uses those big, fancy words that make everyone go "WTF" and then he says it in a simpler way when he realizes nobody knows what he's talking about... :tflaugh

I think it adds something to him also it will allow for a greater range on emotion as your rather limited with WJ's G1 face also it feeds into my theory that these guys are in fact the 2 guys from mythbusters

Wow...lovin' Wheeljack! I'm hoping he's got, like, a Barry White-esque voice. Perceptor looks weird...like the Wizard from Fantastic Four...and does he become a microscope?! Will perceptor be the first non-vehicular, non-beast Transformer?

I am pretty used to robot facial hair now, since that's been taking place since G1. But why does any robot need glasses?

Yeah, it would - Percepter's head would need to be shorter, and Wheeljack would need less facial hair. And a hat :schin
