General

All Transformers, all the time -- from Generation 1 to "Animated", Michael Bay's Transformers franchise, and beyond.

  1. Started by Dr Traveler,

Considering that we're appearing to enter a phase of mostly repaints and recycled RoTF models, and add to that we just saw a deluge of $5.00 coupons out there, it seems like now is the perfect time to reflect on our favorite figures from DoTM. What did you like? My personal favorites: Cyberverse Commanders: At this point the only commanders I haven't personally laid hands on are Hatchet and Guzzle. Given how awesome the rest of the line is, I'd be surprised if they didn't kick tail themselves. The Commander line in the Cyberverse subline has been just all kinds of awesome. Deluxes: DoTM Ratchet, Thunderwing, and Bumblebee were all good, even though they were…

  2. Started by Aquarion,

I figured out how to reconcile the 3 different origins for the G1 Constructicons. It's a bit complicated so pay attention. 1: The Constructicons start out as normal TF's and they befriend Omega Supreme. 2: Megatron brainwashes them using the Robosmasher. 3: At some point before the Ark leaves Cybertron, Megatron sends the Constructicons back in time to build him, making his entire existence a paradox. 4: Due to the strain of the experimental time travel process and from building Megatron, the original Constructicons die shortly afterwards. 5: Later on Earth, Megatron builds a new set of Constructicons using the specs that he acquired when the Robosmash…

ever wonder why swindle, a minor part in a combiner team, was so prominently featured in the cartoon and comic over his bruticus counterparts? Or why he was such a main decepticon?

  5. Started by puma,

I'm planning on signing up later today and was wondering which plan I should go with. First Class versus Third Class? I'm located in Dallas and I believe their office is in Fort Worth. Thoughts??

  6. Started by Jason X,

What I mean is I know some people like to compartmentalize their lives, keeping work seperate from home and such. I do for the most part but find myself influenced by my Transformer in ways that seem kind of odd. For instance, I find myself favoring a red shirt when I were blue jeans because I think that's what Optimus Prime would wear if he were human. My wife tells me that apparently I had this habit for a while before I was really aware of it. I have some TF T-shirts (as I'm sure most of you do) but there seems to be a deeper psychological component at work here. Another influence I WAS conscious of was switching to Degree V12 deodorant. It's sports car themed and ha…

After I looked at this comic... I was wondering, how would you like a pink override repaint??

  8. I don't think I have already see it so: How come Ultra Magnus, who has kept his cybertronian form, look like Optimus Prime in his alt mode (exept for the trailer, of course).

  9. Started by Drewbie,

I just got the complete series of G1 off ebay, and am about halfway through S2. I've noticed that Prime isn't the hero I remember. I thought his motto was "freedom is the right of all sentient beings," but he doesn't live that. In the episode "changing gears," He considers leaving Gears' personallity corrupted just becuase the other autobots like him better that way. In "the core," he uses mind control devices to force Devestator to be good. Those are the only two instances I've found so far. What does anyone else think of this? Are transformers not sentient, or is Optimus a fraud?

Did anyone take a look at the picture of all the Alternators that were shown at Toyfair? Did you see how badly mistransformed the figures were? Jazz? Prowl Swindle holding 2 guns? Dragstrip with the gun ATTACHED TO HIS HEAD? Does Hasbro not give a F' what people think about them? Do they like to look like a bunch of buffoons? I swear, sometimes I wonder why I still support those clowns. Oh, and that King Starscream looks like utter trash.....
