Okay, I'm really just starting this thread b/c of last week's episode, "Nanosec". At the end of the episode, after Bumblebee's into-orbit-and-back rescue of practically everyone in Detroit, the Autobots roll out and then ask Bumblebee if he's coming. His response "If it's all the same to you, I think I'll walk" -- according to two of my kids anyway -- was a direct lift from the end of "The Key to Vector Sigma." Other stuff you've noticed?

Ok, so the collectors club has the new SeaCon set coming out for $$$, and that’s all well and good. Got me thinking what would I like to see re-done from G1, that has not been done before. There’s been the idea for certain parts to be remade, such as G1 windshields and a whole list of other G1 accessories that are essential to a ½ decent toy. Weapons are one thing, but finding parts is another. But there’s not much of a market for that, Transrepro had a bunch of really great things, but alas I think the owner is no longer with us. SO, what would I do? How about a new Seeker, with not just 1 standard set of wing configurations, but at least 3? Say cla…

I don't know if you guys watch Spike TV much or not, but I saw a bumper for the Ultimate Fighter (did I get the title right?) tv show and they explicitly used the G1 logo font repeatedly throughout the commerical. It caught me off guard and it looked very well designed as compared to some of the other incarnations of the G1 font one can find on the Internet (though they are good in their own right).

Now I have a question, but first I quote myself... I'm serious about doing custom TF toys. I'm looking into buying some 3D modeling software and a SRP (Subtractive Rapid Prototyping) machine so I can go from design to CAM model to toy all by myself. Right now I have designs for a van, an ambulance, a tuck, a tow truck, a couple of freightliner brothers (with trailers), and a tank, all of which I pan on making in limited runs of 20 at 1:24 scale. I’ll probably call the line something like “G1 Revisitedâ€?, with no mention of “The Transformersâ€? to steer clear of trademark infringement. All of the toys will be like the BT/Alternators in quality, most…

Has anyone purchased and viewed the new Transformers G1 Season 1 DVD that came out Tuesday? I own all the Rhino sets, but was curious if this set was much better, and looking for changes, no matter how miniscual.

Just finished re-watching Season 1 of the original series (last time I saw them was a Loooong time ago). And I have to say, they were just as fun as I remembered it as a kid! Sure, it's a little cheezy, but it works. Prime is just too awesome. My objective is to get through all the cartoons in order, watching the movie between season 2 and 3. But I didn't realize how long season 2 is. Is it worth watching, and is there any particular episodes that stand out or have any value before jumping straight into the movie?
