Has anyone purchased and viewed the new Transformers G1 Season 1 DVD that came out Tuesday? I own all the Rhino sets, but was curious if this set was much better, and looking for changes, no matter how miniscual.

I got it and it's def. worth it. I guess skip it if you are planning on getting the complete series set in a few months, but it is head and shoulders above the Rino version, and the mini-doccumentary that is included is really interesting, and you get some old commericials, all for 16.99, so I would say it's a good buy if you are a G1 fan

$16.99 you say...

picked mine up today, you get an awful lot for $16.99 :thumb

Do we know how they'll handle the following seasons?

Will they be cancelled in lue of the box?

If released, will they chop up the seasons into volumes?

Sweet! But where can you get it for $16.99? Are there any plans to include an English version of "Scramble City"?

Got mine at Target for $16.99 :yay

1st time watcher (have the movie but NEVER seen the original episodes) so I thought I'd give G1 a chance !!!

Glad I did, but now I want a Cybertron mode Bumblebee !!!

I never knew all of the Transformers could fly :eek

Do we know (and by "we", I mean "anyone besides myself") how much the full series box set will be, and when it's coming out?

They changed that later on. Never explained it either?

Also, the box set is gonna be about $150

I think I'll stick with the individual, low priced, season sets. I already have the first two seasons from Rhino, so I might as well save money and not buy the Matrix set from Shout! Factory.
