A live-action TF film is going to be awesome, that is without a doubt. They have the technology to do it right. The thing I am curious about is whether or not they should keep the G1 characters as they were first introduced in 1984 or update them. For instance, seeing as the TF's will be CGI, should film makers try to recruit as many of the original voice cast from the classic series to voice the characters in the movie or should they look to new talent? As well, should the Autobots be updated in their appearance as the new BinalTech/Alternators line is doing or should they be kept in their original designs?

For a long time, it has been presumed that Car Robot (RiD) was the first to give us a dark and evil repaint of Optimus Prime in the form of Black Convoy (Scourge). This traditioned has continued, giving rise to Nemesis Primes. But long before Car Robot... there was - GENERATION ONE NEMESIS PRIME! G1 Nemesis Prime even pre-dates the G1 cartoon, as he appears in #1 of the G1 comic book! Not including adverts, look at the 7th page of the comic, last panel. There he is! G1 Nemesis Prime, leading the Decepticon invasion into the Ark! He's clearly not Optimus Prime, because Optimus Prime is in the same panel lamenting about how the Autobots don't have enough power …

At first I wasn't too crazy about BB. I got to say, BB's a bad-ass Autobots!! So what's there not to love about BB? FYI, I picked up the UBB at Target and Wal-Mart. The Deluxe class from Kohl's and the Legends from TRU. If only I can find the '77 BB Deluxe (:

i know that when the G1 movie first came out, everyone was going on about hot rod being the "chosen one" or something. but once Prime was revived, he took back the matrix and rodimus reverted back to hot rod. does this mean the matrix made a mistake and that hot rod really wasn't the chosen one?

The original Transformers relied in real modes and transformation at first, but all that changed eventually. G1 choked us to death with gimmicks and that trend continues today. So in your opinion which is the best gimmick ever used in transformers and which the worst? Just dont think in g1 alone. Practically all generations had their fair share of gimmicks.

i'm 17 years old so but when about 7 i was collecting g2 toys till g2 was gone i lost most of my g2s now but restarted on rid and armada and hoping the reissues energon universe and 20th prime come to nz as i've collected over the 2 years my parents have not goten y i collecting them my brother complains my friends don't seem to mind so i was wondering if all you people out there had or have the same problems

in the more recent series, there's always new versions of megatron, starscream, and prime. but how come the modern autobots don't have an equivilent to starscream? ie, a G1 homage other than the leader who gets a new version each series. isn't there a G1 autobot as popular as starscream that could have been given this treatment?
